Jessica McCollum How does The hanging tree song that Jennifer Lawrence sang in Mockingjay part 1 compare to how you imagined the song when you read the book?

Line I thought the version she sings in the film, is quite beautifull, but it's nothing much like the one I had played in my head, while reading the book

A.J. I completely forgot about the song in the book until the movie, and then I remembered there was a song. I really like the song in the movie and I think she does a pretty good job of singing it.

Anna i loved it jennifer lawerence is my favorate actor i could of not imagined it any better it was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jayne Loved the way she sang it, but she added a southern folk twang that I did not imagine in my head. I liked it an all, and I was totally looking forward to it, but it wasn't even clos to what was in my head haha

Emma I have no idea how to imagine songs in books, so it's always great to hear how they sing it on screen. I think the movie version is awesome :)

Llama Senpai For some reason my imagination of the song corresponds to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little song. Although the movie version was awesome.

Izzy I did imagine the song to be a lot slower, like A LOT!! But, I feel Jennifer Lawrence did a great job singing it in the movie. The only thing I don't like, is that they're putting it on the radio now... creepy.

Nikita I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was okay and I agree with Ida that it sounded like a children's rhyme. I thought Jennifer's singing was beautiful and I liked the film's verison of the song much better than the book.

Malisa My version of the song was quite close to the one in the movie. It has this eerie sound to it. Love the song!

Storm Arashi I initially thought of this version when I was reading it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2Je-...

But I actually love Jennifer Lawrence's version too. The piano cover feels more like a Lullaby instead of a war hyme.

evelyn I imagined it much sweeter and to a completely different tune.
Did not like the fact that there is backup either

Maria LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maria Those were smiley faces if it doesn't show up

MaryAnn Kempher While reading the book, I skipped over the song, but loved it in the movie.
