Order of reading series

Has anyone read the Six of Crows first before Shadow and Bone? Is it still worth reading if you read the Crows series first?

I started reading Six of Crows before Shadow and Bone, couldn't get into it and came back to it after reading the first trilogy, so if you haven't read Six of Crows yet I would recommend starting with Shadow and Bone so you have a better understanding of the world at the start.
Shadow and Bone is definitely still worth reading, but the two series aren't too similar, so liking Six of Crows may not guarantee you'll enjoy Shadow and Bone.
