*Spoilers*In the novella The Assassin and The Empire, Sam dies. She goes to see the body and it's all messed up. What if that isn't really Sam. It's kinda like in Crown of Midnight when she had to bring back heads, and brought back the wrong (defaced) head. Now that I read the novella's I think Sam might come back. Plus has anyone else found out about the new novella coming out it is called The Assassin and The Princess! OH! MY! GOD! I can't wait for it:)
@Leah SJMaas hasn't said anything about a new novella, she says that the five out now are the only five so far. Sam won't come back - someone said further up the comments that he's not coming back. Also in the novellas when she goes to see his body, she recognises him so he's most definitely dead
@Leah The Assassin and the Princess is just a single scene that occurs between ToG and CoM and as far as I know, it was released some time ago.

literally all I want for QoS is a 600 page showdown with Aelin and Arobynn and I don't really care about what else happens as long as Aelin takes down Arobynn

I don't have many predictions but I definitely feel that QoS will be the make or break for Chaolaena. I personally hope it is the "make". =)

Really I don't care who she ends up with, as long as it's not Rowan.
I really don't care as long as the make or break is handled perfectly and it doesn't become a love triangle.Aedion is my personal favorit, but that isn't happening
I'm not sure. He's saracastic and funny, but with an edge. He's a powerful warrior. And I just love his complete devotion towards Aelin. He hasn't seen her in 10 years, doesn't even know who she is anymore and he'll do anything for her. And that scene on HOF where he said he would burn down the city of she asked him to because of their bond. I do think that they're relationship is going to take the brother and sister route because Aelin needs family. I don't know, I just love him.
I like Aedion but only as a brother bond to AelinIt's like that with Rowan I can't stand Aelin and Rowan being shipped because I don't think Aelin would be capable of having a romantic relationship in HOF.
I think it will probably be Dorian or Chaol but I don't think it'll be Chaol after what he did in COM
I think he's a few years older than Aelin, in the flashbacks in HOF I think she's eight and he's about ten? :/ not sure about that though
I think it could still be Chaol, he and Aelin still have a lot of things to sort out. Dorian is the one who has no chance IMO. The romantic relationship didn't really take off and I prefer them as friends.Aedion is twenty-four as of HOF

I'm sorry, I just don't see it. Their relationship was the result of what happens when you put two incredibly flirtacious people near each other.Chaol and her seemed like they had a more meaningful relationship in the short time they were together.
I'm Team Aelin so she could end up alone and I would be fine with it.
Am I the only one who thinks if Sam hadn't died and he had come back to the series that he would be the underdog who sneaks in and manages to steal Aelin away. Her love, not literally.
I'm so excited! I'm pretty sure there's going to be a showdown between Celaena and arobynn because it's been hinted at a lot, between the novellas and heir of fire.
Not hinted, that why she is going back.

Does anyone else think it is weird Chaol and Aelin are going right past each other. Do you think they will meet on the boat ride, because Aelin had to be smuggled to Wendlyn, so she might have to be smuggled back. Meanwhile Chaol would have to be smuggled, and they might meet up. Oh yeah, and what are the consequences of not keeping the agreement with Chaol's dad? Plus who is the king gonna kill if Aelin won't kill that prince dude? He can't kill Dorian.

I don't like the feeling of disappointment... and I get that feeling a lot of times from books.
I don't think Sarah J. Mass will dissapoint. Because we all know how there are authors that everyone loves like Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling, and I think Sarah J. Mass is on this list:)

I really wish he and Aelin can end up together, but that isn't really realistic, is it? A girl can dream, but HE CAN NOT DIE!! If not him, then Dorian. That would be a very unexpected twist!! And AWESOME!!! I also didn't mind Choal and Aelin, but Rowan and Aelin were also going through my mind
I started the series with Throne of Glass, then thanks to Goodreads I discovered Assassins Blade existed, but it wasnt until I had finished the 3rd book that I decided I had to know about Sam and what happens in the novellas. So having now read it I do think she and Arobynn will have a show down...but if its true there are 6 books then I dont think he'll die quite yet.I do think he'll have to try to rub in that He knows best and if she'd have stuck with him she wouldnt have gone through all this strife. And then he'll get away somehow. I think Choal will die. I think Dorian, if she frees Magic, Dorian will play a part in killing his father.I just dont want her to die at the end or end up alone...that would kill the series for me.I think after all that she's been through this series needs a happy ending or at least a promise of a happy ending.
I agree. I personally like the idea of Dorian and Aelin/Celaena together. Since the books are based off of Cinderella, he's a prince and she's a princess.... I also like the idea of Rowan or Aedion. I don't know about Rowan though, since his mate is dead. I might just like Rowan and Celaena to be super BFFS. I'm sorry but I never really liked chaol and her together. I don't think that she can forgive him for Nehemiah and she has seemed to stop really thinking about him. Chaol also never seemed to fully accept Celaena as Aelin or Dorian as a magic user.

If Rowan dies protecting her or Dorian dies trying to defeat his father...I'm ok with one or the other but I couldnt stand neither of them surviving.I'm not sure I'd even be happy with Celaena dying and leaving the kingdom to Dorian. I dont get Aelin/Aedion as far as I'm concerned they are practically brother/sister. And that doesnt sit well with me. I mean as funny as I thought Luke kissing Leah was before they found out they were brother and sister I'm not sure I could stand something more than that.
As much as I love Rowan, I like that he and Aelin are much more comrades than anything else. Aedion is, as was mentioned earlier, her brother - not going to happen when they are that platonic. As for Dorian, I get the feeling he will be battling with the Valg for a long time to come. Besides that, if he does survive, he will have his own kingdom to run. Which leaves Chaol, who I'm not much of a fan of these days... but maybe he will redeem himself? Absent such a redemption, I don't see Aelin ended up with anyone that has already been introduced. Really, I'm not sure I see her ending up with anyone except to produce an heir after the war is done. It's her story, after all, and the men are side characters...

He was collecting people with traces of magic. And Aelin even said when General Norok died she thought she saw the man he was before he was inhabited and possessed die along with the Vlog.
I WOULD TOTALLY BE OKAY WITH MANON AND CELAENA BEING TOGETHER!!!! But if that doesn't happen, I ship Chaol + Celaena.
I don't think that Rowan or Celaena have feelings for the other though I so so so wish they did. They are so perfect for each other.Canot wait for Queen of Shadows to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love both Chaol and Rowan, buy like some-I want him and Aelin to end up together. My heart aches for poor Chaol though.
