My Golden Line #2

My Golden Line for this week is located on the last page of chapter 49. "Then i leaned my shoulder into the door and pushed, thinking,Please open if there's any justice in this world.Nothing"(pg.312). I chose this quote because it finally addressed the hopelessness of every situation inside the book.This is Sams last year shifting into a human and he chooses to ignore his problem. He comes to terms with the fact that he wont be there in human form for Grace anymore. Sam has been living in a fools fantasy knowing that he would shift eventually and no matter how and he tries to change his fate, he cant help himself out of his problem. This quote also applies to another werewolf in this story,Jack. Jack believes that he can stop himself from becoming a wolf because his family is privileged.In his delusional world,he thinks he needs justice because he's rich and attractive. In reality he deserves no justice because of his terrorisng ways and his fools fantasy. The last person that this applies to is Grace. Grace wants more than anything to be wit Sam the rest of her life to the point that she would become a werewolf just for him. Her epiphany of the truth is before anyone else's. She realizes that there is very little justice in the world and when it happens it's once every blue moon. She has never had any proper justice in her life, right down to the fact that she cant be with the boy she loves. She's pushing the door that blocks her from fulfilling her one true dream, but the world doesn't have enough care to do her justice.
