I had shit orientation in what I read and what I didn't read so it helps me keep track of how many books I read and how fast have I read them.
i joined so i could find new books and track my reads. that's still what i use it for, but i've also grown to enjoy the community aspect and sharing my reviews. :)the biggest con for me is that it's owned by amazon, and i hate supporting that monstrosity in any way.
I joined to log my books ... have not been consistent at all lmaooo. I love being able to see what my friends are reading tho! being able to look up books and add to my chronic tbr are the main reasons I'm still active ahaha.
I rarely use it for community reason, but mainly to log completions and the like. I have been leaving indepth reviews for a lot of the smaller authors, but nothing major for well established stuff like Dune (which is just because I hope the author might read the review and be able to have something to consider as they build their style). I also like to use it to find new reads or keep track of authors I like.
We joined to find new books and find reviews of the books we plan to and are currently reading and log our reading, it's not confusing to navigate
i joined to log all the books i've ever read. or at least all the ones i remember XD
Well,i dont remember how i found good reads but surely, i found it when i was into books! I used it to track every single book i read! Without goodreads, i am incomplete

(ps: i don't use goodreads for tracking, oops)
