Turns out a Bremerton police detective (John Owens) and the Navy DOS officer in charge (Rebecca Stanley) were conspirators in smuggling drugs in from Afghanistan and secretly distributing them under the radar of the Mexican cartels. Was one of your theories that the videotape had to have been taken by someone in Navy JAG or the police? Did either of these two make it on your suspect list?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments Rebecca Stanley was on my list almost as soon as the tape disappeared. I didn't want it to be a cop. I'm not sure why I wasn't against it being someone in Jag.

I couldn't figure out why anyone in either group would, though, until Rebecca started acting sneaky. I wondered if she was in a relationship with Cho, and he dumped her. If it wasn't the janitor or Cho, Stanley was the only other person with access at the right time.

I didn't see anything off about Owens. I thought he was a good cop and worked well with Tracy. He took me by surprise.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I really didn't suspect either of them. At first I thought someone had paid off the janitor to look the other way. Then after they questioned him, I realized that he had propped open the door when he went outside, so it could pretty much be anybody who knew about the contents of the tape. I only got suspicious of Rebecca Stanley when she asked Battles out for a drink to celebrate. It wasn't something she would normally do.

I agree, Robin. I couldn't figure out who took the tape because it didn't seem to behoove anyone with access to have it disappear. My first thoughts was the janitor until the reveal that he was propping the door open. Later, it became more obvious it had to be Rebecca.

It didn’t take me long to start suspecting Rebecca Stanley because her behavior was awfully strange. I didn’t have a motive but I couldn’t eliminate her. I didn’t see the detective, at all. That was a surprise.

But, the only way that tape could leave JAG was by someone in JAG. I knew the janitor was a factor but he couldn’t manipulate the security tape. Owens was not even on my radar.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments I'm with Robin - I really didn't suspect either of them. I thought maybe the janitor took it for someone else. I really didn't suspect Rebecca until she asked Battles out for drinks. That was just weird and off and then they ended up going to her place. I was talking to my iPad ...."no no ...don't go to her place....", The iPad never listens to me, lol.
Owens was totally a shock and I was wondering how Tracy was going to get her gun back.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Those iPads and Kindles should listen to us when we talk to them, Melissa. (I talk to my device all of the time.)

I’m normally screaming at my headphones😏 Melissa, I remember having those same feelings when she was going to Rebecca’s apartment.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments That's funny. I talk to my devices too. One of my kids or grand kids will walk in when I'm yelling at my my speaker, and laugh at me.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Nice to know I'm not alone ladies, lol
