July Full Length Read - Details and Dates

In the month of July, I will be leading our first full length group read! For this inaugural read, I have chosen Waiting for Saturday, by Catherine Morrison.

Published in March 2021, this is Morrison's second of three currently published novels. Waiting for Saturday has a 4.38 rating on Goodreads, over 65 reviews on Amazon, and clocks in at 225 pages. Described as an excellent second novel, unexpected gem, and a compelling read across reviews, please see the blurb below:

Abigail Preston can’t understand why she isn’t happy. She’s married to Kevin, a successful salesman whose generous salary allows her to be a stay-at-home mum to their four-year-old daughter. We will be reading the book over the course of the month of July. Please read at your own pace as I know we all have busy schedules. On July 13 I will post a halfway point discussion (Chapter 14). Please feel free to post here whenever you make it halfway, don't worry if it's very early or very late in the month. Then, I will put up another post on July 27 for when we finish to discuss the novel in its entirety!

I’m only up to chapter 3, but I hate Kevin and wonder why in the world Abi is still married to him.

Kevin is definitely an awful guy. I had the same thought very early on too. It’s easy to tell there is a wide personality chasm between the couple. Mainly ones an asshole and ones not 😅

There are a few people in this group who I believe has finished as well! I will post a midway (no spoilers) discussion thread tomorrow, and then a bit later post a full book discussion thread as well? That way we can give people time to read.
