The prologue opens with a woman being trapped in the trunk of a car that is then dumped into a lake. When Victor Kruger’s car is raised from the river and the remains of a body is found, were you certain in that moment it wasn’t him because of that first scene or did you consider there may have been two cars in that river?

No, the gender is never specified. I actually thought it was Lance's Dad Victor who was the victim in the trunk from the prologue.

Hmmm - I thought the killer referred to 'her' in there mind during the first part. I borrowed from KU and already returned it so I can't fact check this. I did not consider it being Lance's dad. At that point I thought Lance's dad was the killer.
