For the month of AUGUST 2022, we will be reading HRs that feature PROXIMITY: historical romances in which the two main characters are thrown together for a period of time due to circumstance such as (but not limited to): road trip, house party, only one bed, forced proximity. This can include house parties.

VOTING IS NOW OPEN!

Please vote using this form to vote: https://forms.gle/js7VsNhg5Gf2GndL9 This requires that you put your Goodreads name.

You can vote for up to three full-length books. Here's how the points work:

> First (or only) choice = 3 points
> Second choice = 2 points
> Third choice = 1 point

There is also a separate vote for a novella.

To see which books are nominated or if you prefer to vote in-thread, check out the thread hhttps://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I have also listed the nominations below.

You can view the current vote tally here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Please vote by June 30:. At the end of the voting period the top two or three vote-getters will be the BOTMs. If we need to break a tie, we will use number of first place votes, or if that doesn't work, number of second place votes as a tie-breaker. If we need another tie-breaker, we will discuss in thread and add to rules in future.

Happy voting!!

Jan (jan130) | 2707 comments Hi Mods,
I was just browsing through all the noms and noticed that one of the novellas is actually 384 pages long. The Invitation by Jude Devereux. It's a novel not a novella.

Also, I just voted and the linked page from the voting page that shows the pie chart of results is also showing last month's vote along with this month's.

Thanks for letting me know Jan. I will have a play with the voting spreadsheet and see what I can do. It is a rather complex (well for me it is) process that I am still coming to terms with.

Regarding the 'novella'. There was some discussion about this in the nominations thread and it was requested that the nomination still stand as the book titled 'Invitation' has three novellas inside ; the Invitation, Matchmakers and Perfect Arrangement. We would only be reading 'Invitation'.

I’m not sure where the pie charts are.

I think I have fixed the pie chart issue.

I am having a problem with the count for novellas in the voting tally spreadsheet.
Please keep on voting - we can still see what novellas people are voting for and can do an easy manual calculation at the end if needed, but I am sure one of the other Mods will be able to fix the problem

Thanks Susan. I had missed that somehow. LOL. Sorry.

BTW thanks for fixing the pie chart thing too. I can't look at them now as you can only see them from a link when you vote, and once you go out of the vote page you lose the link. They are actually a little bit hard to read anyway. The spreadsheet you have linked above gives a much clearer picture.
