Peter Mathews (pdmathews) | 242 comments There has been a major policy change with regard to adding new editions: "As of June 20th 2022, Goodreads members who do not have Librarian or Author status will no longer be able to manually add book editions to the Goodreads catalog."

A post in the librarian discussion section said this was being done to clean up the databases, which I understand. It also said that there are currently various automatically imported records that will continue to function.

I want to ask: why are there no automatic imports from Audible? Audible, like Goodreads, is owned by Amazon. The vast majority of the editions I have added manually are audiobooks from Audible. If it can be done for Kindle books, why not for audiobooks?

Goodreads Librarians are not employees of Goodreads, but volunteers. They cannot assist you with issues of site functionality. Please either check out Goodreads Help (with its FAQ), or you may wish to use the Contact Us page. Closing thread.
