SOLVED. Fantasy Series: New Adult: Two main characters: Bonded to the same old dragon. [s]

The book series followes two amel main characters one is a mage who is bonded to an older dragon, the second is a mage priest of some sort who becomes bonded to the same dragon later in the series. The two characters meet a centaur ranger in the first book who dies to some sort of bleeding/poison i think. In the second book the mage priest character recieves training in how to use weapons, and weild two falchions i think? There is a large battle that takes place in a desert town and the two characters end up out in the desert and work with dome nomads at one point. Both characters are important to the world due to them being similar to the first mage priest and dragon mage ever? And the mage priest is at one point bonded to a unicorn who was annoying to him and acts like a brat. I think they communicated telepathically.

I also remeber the unicorn gave the warrior made his books that allow him to learn his magic.
