This is the only part of the story that let me down. I was surprised by Lynne's response. She broke up with her fiance because she felt something for Penn. I wasn't sure if she was jealous of Stacey or what her motivation was. I will be disappointed if they don't get another chance.

I really hope so. Seeing Penn get another chance with Lyn would be great for the story moving forward. The characters' relationships both romantic and platonic balance the horrible aspects of the crimes.
Perhaps there is a new story line evolving with Penn at the center. Maybe Lynne had be be removed for that to happen. Just a guess.

I haven't read Hidden Scars yet, so I guess I'll just have to wait until I read it.
