I was so tense from the moment he took the girls. I was sure that they would be killed. I hoped that Kim found Edna in time, but I wasn't sure that she would live.
This all left me so scared and anxious. I was sure Edna was history but couldn’t lose hope for those girls. I also feared he’d just torture them in the meantime.
Pretty high probability that one or all would end up dead. It was out of left field that it was Rachel a main player in the other case who would be the casualty in this book.
I didn't think that it was out of left field. I thought it was because Symes was following Kim and wanted her to know he was watching.
By being out of left field I meant that it was highly probably that someone involved in the Symes case would unfortunately end up dead more than someone in the Daynes case. Although I suppose thinking on it a bit more, the perpetrator (Gavin) may have wanted all the Daynes dead in his vendetta. I wonder if Zac would have been next or Gavin genuinely loved him?
