That prologue…what did you think at the moment you read it? Was Kim actually being laid to rest or something else?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments At first, I thought another member of her team had died in action. Everyone we knew was at the service, so I thought this was a new member. I wondered if Kim would show up this time. When Ted was at the service, I felt that Kim had died. I was worried that this would be the last book in the series.

I didn't want Kim dead, so I started to think of alternatives. Unfortunately, when I read chapter one, I went back to thinking this was the last book in the series.

I refused to believe she was dead but it gave me serious pause. And, it did it’s job because I was hopelessly hooked. It also crossed my mind that this might be the last book.

After Kevin, I don’t consider anyone sacred.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) It was a great prologue, wasn't it!

But I didn't think Kim was dead... it was a set up to make a bad guy think she was dead. Then when I read on it confirmed by suspicions.

I hadn't read anywhere that this was the last book in the series. Apparently it's one of the UK's best selling series ever.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments Lisa,

It was a great prologue.

I knew that the series was going to continue. Marsons answered one of my emails and told me she has a contract for ten more books. I was still worried that the series might continue differently. You never know what a publisher might request with a new contract.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Wow, ten more books. It will be interesting to see where she takes the series and how she does finally finish up.

Lynn (ftbooklover) It seemed as though we were meant to think that Kim had died, but of course, I knew there was at least one more book, so I saw it as a plot device to get us into the story by wondering who was dead.
