Gayle Katz | 62 comments Hello,

How do I add this complete series: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

to the already existing series page? https://www.goodreads.com/series/2283...

This box set is NOT on Amazon but is on Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Google Play, and Kobo.

Is there a way to add unique identifiers to point readers to this box set on those bookstores?

Thanks so much for your help!

Best,
Gayle Katz

Scott | 9446 comments Hi Gayle,

Does it have an ISBN, Nook ID, etc.?

I added it to the series.

Gayle Katz | 62 comments Thanks so much, Scott! :)

The ebook does not have a universal ISBN, but the identifiers for each platform are:

Nook = 2940186724582

Apple = http://books.apple.com/us/book/id6442...

Kobo = 1230005608799

Google Play = https://play.google.com/store/books/d...

Does any of this help?

Scott | 9446 comments Hmm, it is not letting me save with either ID. It used to, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

You need to check the "I understand this ISBN is invalid. Save anyway." checkbox to save invalid ISBNs. I added the Kobo "ISBN" to the existing record. A new edition can be added for the Nook edition.

Scott | 9446 comments I guess regular librarians don't have that option.

Gayle Katz | 62 comments Thanks so much for the guidance!

In the stores section/button/dropdown, I don't see Kobo as a store, but I do see Barnes and Noble, Apple, and Google Play.

Where do you see Kobo?

And how do I add this book ID for those stores?

Is that something authors can do on our own?

You do, but it only shows up when you try to add the non-ISBN and get the error.

The dropdown is completely separate from adding the editions. Goodreads Librarians have nothing to do with the dropdown, and for any questions about it (or any site functionality issues) you will need to check out Goodreads Help (with its FAQ), or you may wish to use the Contact Us page.

Please note that book links to other sites are customized on a per-user basis (each user chooses theirs), not a per-book basis.

I saw the error message, but not the other one or a checkbox.

Scroll down. It should appear right above the save button.
