I saw that too.
How corrupt does someone have to be to publically spout support for someone while privately detesting them?
Legacy corporate-state media demostrating the need for independent media.

Trump will have to walk back his Covid response cheer leading...
This is from 12 hours ago ... perhaps some 'fake,' news going on?
REF: RFK-Jr: https://twitter.com/RobertKennedyJr/s...
I don't think it's fake news, Graeme - RFK Jr just said he wasn't interested. For now.
Much as the response to covid cheesed me off (to put it mildly), it's important to offer olive branches to repentant sinners and others who, while we might not see eye to eye on covid, offer hope in the wider battle against the Deep State's drive towards technocratic totalitarianism and neverending war, epitomised by the Biden regime.
Heck, Trump is clearly flawed, but the enemy don't like him, which makes him an ally of sorts. Operation Warpspeed is over and for the bulk of the population, the gene therapy's damage has been done (although hopefully for them it might wear off).
I've now shaken myself free from Philip's, Adrian's and Jim's propaganda. It was a moment of weakness, nothing more. Freedom cities and flying cars are a small price to pay for getting rid of Biden and dodging the Haley bullet. The 2 good guys should team up.

Ahhh. Thanks Beau, I misunderstood a bit.
If they could reconcile their differences, it'd be a powerful combination.

RFK Jr strikes me as an honest man. Whether you agree with his views or not, he's not a bulls***er.
He has said that the Trump team approached him to be Trump's running mate. I believe him, and despite big policy differences, it would've made perfect sense for Trump to do so.
He would've got an outstanding VP, secured any of his own supporters considering voting for RFK, and eaten into the DNC support. It was a win, win scenario.
Kennedy turned him down, so it's perfectly natural for Trump to deny it happened.
Perhaps it's still a goer? I don't know, but a week's a long time in politics.
What I do know is that I won't be writing off Haley until the Presidential Election has actually happened. She could even publically throw in the towel and I still wouldn't write her off. That's because, at some point between now and when the votes are counted, Trump will be prevented from running.

Jesse Ventura being touted as possible running mate for RFK Jr. He would make a great choice to slam the Biden regime down onto the canvas.
In 50 years, I've never been polled about my voting intentions. And over the last few years, there's been a huge shift in where people get their information and news. Television and print are on the decline, while the internet continues to grow.

Haley - the Thermonuclear War candidate.

What no one seems to consider is that a viable fetus that can survive outside the womb has a right to life - and taking its life is a crime. So I say that at 28 weeks, a woman loses her right to abort a child, and that should be law.
Other than in that instance in which the rights of a child are protected, the government should stay out of it. It's an extremely personal choice a woman makes, and she has to live with it.

Believe it or not, that polling is very accurate even when held up to larger numbers. It is a statistical model and the algorithms are very good. Now the bigger question is how the question is asked.

I temper that just a bit. There are still good sound medical reasons and maybe rape to still allow abortions after viability. However, i am close to you on this area of time.
The problem is not that, but there are those that say none at all for any reason and that includes birth control and the morning after pill.

Regarding sound medical reasons and rape, I'd say that seven months is plenty of time to make those decisions for any reasonable person. Surely by that time, any medical reason should be apparent and, in the case of rape, the decision should be made almost immediately - not when the fetus is viable.

Regarding sound medical reason..."
I am not trying to argue with you, but here is some food for thought. Let us say it is after viability. The fetus starts to kill the mother and she is turning septic and will not last. Now what? If the mother is held against her will until after the ability to go get an abortion? If the child has developed no brain? Will be stillborn? These are all real cases. I am not trying to play games by only using extreme cases, but they do happen andthey need to be taken into account. that is why i state there are good medical reasons.
As I noted, you and I are very close on this on position. I just leave open a little more just in case. As much of us would love a black and white world, it just is not so.
RFK Jr telling it how it is on NATO expansionism:
https://twitter.com/RobertKennedyJr/s...
And if you think your money is going to help Ukraine fight off Russian aggression, think again. Mitch McConnell readily admits that it's simply being used to enrich US arms manufacturers and other giant US corporations, at the taxpayers' expense.

His message isn't just applicable to this war. Its applicable to EVERYTHING. It explains in straightforward terms why there are so many problems in the world, and who is to blame for them.
Dems accuse RFK Jr of colluding with Super Pac:

Funny how everybody, apart from the guy whose shell is currently in the White House, is a crook, deviant or rule breaker, isn't it? What a coincidence. Everybody's bad apart from Joe.
The Dems have absolutely NOTHING positive to say about themselves. They are smug, entitled, arrogant so and sos, who are incapable of doing anything bar throwing mud at other people. They and their media lackies are the pits.

Like your description of the MSM as Biden's 'political partner', Scout.
Don't worry, there's more than two of us who see it.
Don't worry, there's more than two of us who see it.

Every case I mentioned is a real case. I knew they are rare, but non-the-less real. You and I are in agreement, so what is the answer? You seem willing to approach cautiously, but willing to concede there are occurrences that need addressing. I agree. But what to do with those that say never for any reason? Because these people are black and white and see nothing but black and white.
For the history lesson for all, before Roe v. Wade, septic abortions were fairly commonplace because some parts of the country would not allow abortions and women went underground. Once Roe v. Wade was decided, they disappeared almost overnight. It will be interesting to see if they return in those states that are so restrictive. I am willing to bet a frosty adult beverage that these states manage to not count these occurences.

As a staunch believer in the Republic, I'm not a fan of dynasties.
Fair enough, J. Horses for courses. IMO, he's the standout candidate.
I've seen the advert and liked it. Catchy tune and uplifting feel to it - just what you want in a prime time slot.
The UK MSM never bother to report anything Kennedy says. It's either negative headlines about Trump or not-so-subtle fawning of Biden. Naturally, after some of Kennedy's cousins complained about the ad, the story has been given a prominent place on page 1 of their website. Plenty of references to 'anti vaxism' too.
Ooh, the dreaded anti vax. Lock yourselves up in your home, put your mask on and hide under the bed, in case they get you. Take your not-yet-approved corporate medicine, like a good little person, and stay safe.
Kennedy has apologised if the ad upset some family members, but obviously he hasn't been colluding with Super Pac, so it was a surprise and what can he do? :)
I think a basic message needs emphasising again...
If you're happy with the political status quo, vote for them.
If you're not, don't.
But don't vote for the tired old system and then start complaining when they serve you up more of the same. If you want change, you've got to vote for it.
And when I look at the dire non-choice on offer in the UK election, this year, you Americans really are lucky to have a genuine chance of positive change, in the form of RFK Jr.

Scout, if you like what Kennedy has to say, you know what to do - spread the word in Georgia!

The ol' switcheroo.
"President Biden’s poll numbers seem set in quicksand. Now the special counsel’s justification for not recommending charges against Biden for having “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials” is damning: Biden’s memory has such “significant limitations” that the special counsel believed he could not convince a jury that Biden has a “mental state of willfulness” that a serious felony (or, presumably, serving as president) requires. Cue the campaign commercials.
Salvation lies in the DNC rules. Remember the New Jersey “Switcheroo” way back in 2002, when Democrats turned a sure loss of a Senate seat into a win by swapping out their losing candidate at the last minute, overriding a state law that said it was too late in the cycle for such a switch?
REF: RealClearWire: https://realclearwire.com/articles/20... "

I think it is more an internet thing. Nobody I know thinks he is a serious candidate.

Beto O’Rourke supports uncommitted campaign in Michigan’s Tuesday presidential primary
https://michiganadvance.com/2024/02/2...
That's right. Beta got slapped down in a Senatorial race by Ted Cruz. He got completely kicked to the curb in a Presidential race by Uncle Joe. Then he got reamed out in the Texas Gubernatorial race by Gov. Abbott. So, he has decided to ingratiate himself to the DNC by telling the good people of Michigan to vote "None of the Above".
Have you ever been certain that someone is a future Darwin Award winner?

Who can vote in the South Carolina Republican primary election for 2024?
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/who-can-...
Provided they did not vote in the earlier Democratic primary, they could have voted in today's Republican primary. If they voted for Haley, they failed. If they voted for Trump as part of some "Pied Piper Strategy", they're morons who apparently weren't paying attention in 2016.

REF: (Calendar of events): https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024...

It's a likely strategy. Just be there when Trump falls, and pick up the reins afterwards.

I think it is three fold. She is providing another candidate. Second: Just in case he is not allowed on the ballots, she is there with delegates ready to go. I think this is really about 2028. Trump or Biden is a one termer and this is a good opportunity to get her name out there as the opposition candidate and a jump on the others. Think about it this way, she takes the shots now and proves she does not fold.

Speaking of heart, it's possible I'm wrong about Trump, but I'd say he has love for this country. I'd say he's a tough SOB who doesn't give up. I like that in a president. Would he have let the Afghanistan disaster happen? Would he have opened our borders to unvetted immigrants - drug and human traffickers, terrorists, criminals, Chinese nationals? Many of whom are now on Welfare supported by our tax dollars. I think he sees our country as an American home where you should feel safe and have every advantage this country has to offer and defend it against all enemies.

The betting pool is on whether Haley will bow out after she gets Trumped in today's primaries. So far, she has only won the DC Republican primary. The joke is that she won the swamp.
