Alright I don't really think this classifies as a spoiler but (view spoiler)[The Stag or Deer or whatever is the crest of House Baratheon. (Sorry if that's spelled wrong) and the Direwolf is for House Stark. So it's like a bad omen that death or trouble will come to the/a Stark at the hand of the/a Baratheon.

And yeah. I think Ned's father was called Eddard, and Ned was named after him, but everyone calls him Ned. (hide spoiler)]

I abandoned updating my post in order to just read (I'm almost never at my computer to read so it was the only way to get some of this book reading in!)

Okie dokie! Yesterday wasn't a good day for me, but I've finished day three (Dany - Sansa) and with peace and quiet I will at least start on day 5 tonight!

Jon (view spoiler)[He's definitely one of my favorites. I hate the hardships he's had to go through, but I think they've made him stronger and sharper which a qualities he'll probably need on the wall. (hide spoiler)]

Arya (view spoiler)[Out of all the children Arya accepts Jon the most, and he her, they seems to be closer to each other than with the others. So points for her. I like her viewpoint on things too. Swinging at Joffery may not have been the best choice, but was she just supposed to watch her friend get hurt for abiding her request? (hide spoiler)]

Sansa (view spoiler)[Rose tinted glasses. Bless her heart. I kinda want to pity her, but her personality makes that not easy. Joffery is a royal brat though. Pun intended. I couldn't help it. :) (hide spoiler)]

Other things I liked (view spoiler)[ Ned. The direwolves. The part about the stark motto, Winter is coming, being different than the other Houses. Ned's speach about why he had to kill the man he sentenced to death. (hide spoiler)]

Well...(view spoiler)[I'm not mad about her going to the kingdom, I can why she's doing it, though with no proof of anything I'm not sure how much it'll help. It's the way she's acted and her viewpoint in general. I'm not saying she's all bad, I can understand her to a point, but eventually enough is enough. Maybe she'll redeem herself though.

She's one of the characters so far that I can truly say my feelings aren't influenced by the show. I like her much better on there, but I also don't have an inside look into her head on there either. (hide spoiler)]
