Gene Kendall | 4 comments I have an ARC available for review called EFFICIENT AND DIVINE. It's a New Adult mystery/thriller with a heavy noir influence. Please DM me for a review copy. Here's the blurb:

Is there a demon hiding inside Mason Mackay? The world sees only a witty, handsome filmmaker. But one interview subject brings out something dark, something truly unspeakable, buried deep in Mason’s subconscious. Within hours, the interview subject is dead. The evidence points to Mason—and he can’t honestly say the police are wrong.

Forced to face the secrets of his past, Mason finds himself at odds with a retired FBI agent with cryptic motives. Meanwhile, a mysterious family is offering Mason not only answers, but acceptance of even his darkest urges. What lies buried within Mason must be exposed…for good or ill.

C.R. Buchanan (crbuchanan) | 1 comments I would like to put forth my novel "The Tower" for anyone that feels froggy and wants to hop in it for a review:
https://www.amazon.com/Tower-C-R-Buch...

Archer Kemp is tired of his life. Past wars, a cheating ex-wife, and a son he barely sees have made him empty inside; but things get worse when he awakens behind bars in a government facility called The Tower with an ensemble of others.

The group soon finds themselves in a grim world where they're starved and experimented on for the sake of military research. To further complicate the situation, his estranged brother shows up in the cell next to him before they're mentally broken and bullyragged into descending the tower's treacherous levels.

The moments that follow force Archer into his old wartime mentality--no man left behind--to try and keep them alive during a series of monstrous trials no human is meant to survive. And he must do it while fighting newly forming urges growing inside him blacker than the demons of his past.

Violent, fast-paced, creepy, and full of dread, The Tower pushes you down a dark slope of nightmarish moments mixed with one man's broken realities.

Colum Ferry | 3 comments Hi everyone!

I wrote my first book, a fantasy fiction piece, novella length, called The Blackstone Legacy

https://mybook.to/The_Blackstone_Legacy

It’s a short read and if anyone is interested in reviewing then please add me as a friend and send me a message! I’ll gladly review your book in return, I love reading.

Here’s the blurb for my book:

In the city of Arcanum, where magic is a way of life, the Mage Guild is the guardian of peace and order. But when the Goblins, a race of powerful and dangerous magic users, present a threat to the citizens of Arcanum, the Guild Defense Unit, an elite group of mages, is called to action. Led by the formidable High Elder Arcanos, the Defence Unit launches a surprise attack on the Goblins, hoping to crush them once and for all. But the Goblins are not so easily defeated, and the battle quickly becomes a fierce and deadly struggle. As the two sides clash, the fate of Arcanum hangs in the balance.

But is everything as it seems?

Lucas Greystone, a mage-in-training, is summoned to go on his Graduation Challenge to investigate a dragon attack in the nearby village of Willowdale. He soon realises he's stumbling into a mystery much more extreme as he discovers dark secrets about the Guild itself.

THE CATSITTER'S CONUNDRUM
#1 of the "Kitty Kats Around" series
By Angel Leigh McCoy
Publisher: Wily Writers
Release Date: January 01, 2023
ISBN: 9781950427161
ASIN: B0B5KHTXTT
Pages: 268
Genre: Cozy Paranormal Mystery

AN ARSONIST, A KIDNAPPER, AND A CAT

Kitty is the mom, a cat whisperer, and a keen observer. Saddled with debt, she has taken up catsitting to pay her mortgage. When the house next to where she’s catsitting burns down, and a boy goes missing, Kitty decides to get him back or die trying.

Diana is the daughter, a tech geek married to a grifter in prison for perpetuating a Ponzi scheme. With her assets frozen by the FBI, Diana has had to move back in with her mother and is trying not to let depression overwhelm her. As she job-hunts, her mom's latest obsession is just the distraction she needs.

Muse is the cat. The king of cats in exile, to be exact. Literally. This rascally tuxedo follows Kitty around and offers keen observations on the people, places, and hijinks they encounter. He thinks he's being helpful.

Wyrdwood is a weirdly magickal town on the Oregon Coast. It provides refuge for the descendants of mythic races. Normals coexist side-by-side with modern-day elves, witches, orcs, and etcetera in a volatile melting pot. The residents are just living their lives, falling in love, and trying to make a buck. And, of course, engaging in mischief.

With insight into cat minds and red herrings galore, THE CATSITTER’S CONUNDRUM is a mystery that will keep you guessing all the way to the end.

Angel Leigh McCoy (that's me) is the author and a catsitter herself. She has cared for hundreds of felines. She brings cat-whispering wisdom, a love of mysteries, and a penchant for puzzles to the Kitty Kats Around series.

My book is called JUST FRIENDS: A Teen Sports Romance, and it is a sweet, wholesome love story. A teen gymnast finds herself falling for her new best friend, who happens to be a hot (but super humble!) elite level swimmer. Their love is pure and sweet, and hard to resist even though there's no room for dating with his intense swim training schedule.

Tony Duxbury | 6 comments A fantasy book looking for readers
Dear Reader, in an effort to gain interest, I am offering free copies of my book, which is called Clandestine Lives: The Jester, the Courtesan and the Assassin. It is a bit of a mixed-genre read, which includes sword fantasy, a little sorcery and shape-shifting. (No wolves or any other animals) Set in a medieval-style secondary world. The story is about an unconscious shape-shifter who hosts two other personalities within him. They only become aware of each other when the magical barriers separating them start to fail. As you can imagine this causes major problems for all three. I can send you a digital copy if you are interested. I am including the Amazon link so you can check it out a little before deciding. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B082DK7QTV
Here’s hoping to hear from you,

THE LONG NIGHT
The Long Night (Book 1): A Post-Apocalyptic Cyber Thriller
Alex Bueno
description

Amazon link: https://a.co/d/gZy0y0U

At its core, the story revolves around a family who find themselves in a world where all technological devices suddenly become useless. While exploring the consequences of three interconnected catastrophic events in the United States - a cyberattack, failures in nuclear power plants, and an electromagnetic pulse - the novel also highlights themes of family, love, societal dependencies, the vulnerability of our contemporary world, and the intrinsic human instinct to build communities in times of crisis.

Please note that the cover on StoryOrigin is a temporary one as the final cover is not finished yet.

Here are the descriptions for each book:

SONG OF SPHERES
Sometimes the world isn't ready for the truth...

After a mysterious summons, ex-Air Force pilot Will Leonhardt travels to an obscure observatory in Hawaii. A shadowy group of rogue scientists have chosen him to pilot a flight more dangerous than any he’s flown before. And this one has the potential to change humanity’s understanding of itself and the planet forever.

Is the Terra Program, as it’s called, onto a secret of cosmic significance? Or are they merely deluded?

Will’s a skeptic. He accepts the mission to pilot a craft to the moon just so he can escape his own past and future. Yet during the months of intense training, he gets to know the program’s personnel. The old chess-playing astrophysicist, Dr. Whitfield. The erratic billionaire, Anthony Forrest. The beautiful young botanist, Sage Galloway.

And he experiences what he’s never known before: friendship…and even love.

But something’s rotten at the core of the program. A hidden enemy lurks, threatening the mission and the lives of everyone involved. The rocket launches—just a few miles up, everything goes wrong.

Can Will utilize all his training and stoic courage to save the lives of the people he has come to care for and uncover the secret at the heart of the Terra Program...and at the heart of the universe itself?

"Blending lyrical prose with thrilling adventure, Larson offers a unique tale of. . .grit and hope. [Previously published as The Skystillers by Walker Larson]

HOLOGRAM
The Voturans who captured 18-year-old Aaron’s family can make anything they want with the click of a button. But the things they make aren’t real. They are convincing mirages, mere holograms.

And Aaron is the only person in the world who can tell the difference between a hologram and the real thing.

This talent makes Aaron valuable to the Voturans, especially the ambitious General Druxa. Druxa enlists Aaron as an officer, submerging him in the luxurious world of the Voturan upper classes, and demands that he help Druxa see through the holographic deceptions of Votura’s enemies.

Aaron lives a double life, consoled only by his growing friendship with Druxa’s daughter, Antonia, and the slaves assigned to him. To stay alive, he conceals his anger and desire for vengeance, feigning loyalty to Votura and aiding them in their endless wars—even against his own people of Taurus.

His success brings him ever greater power and influence among the Voturans, while in secret he searches for his lost family so he can rescue them from a fate worse than death. But power corrupts, and if Aaron can’t control his flaming anger and phantasmic desire for revenge, the people he loves most will pay the price.

Beautiful and deadly illusions flicker through the skies, insurgents plot under a fiery moon, and the drums of the Temple are beating for the Offering. Will Aaron save his loved ones and himself…and will it cost him his own humanity?

message 77: by David (new)

David Foresi | 1 comments Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S. Thompson and Carl Sagan hash out a satirical science fiction epic over beer at the pub. Okay, I might not live up to those authors quite yet, but that is the best way to describe the writing that influenced The eom Expression: Beautiful Chaos - A Satirical Science Fiction Adventure.

Add to that a bit of Ray Kurzweil and Peter F. Hamilton and you have a well rounded epic story.

Blurb:

Jeron Hayden, a dreamer, freelance shuttle pilot, and staunch advocate of minding his own damn business, embarks on an epic quest to be left the heck alone. He finds himself on a tropical paradise called Rieva, home to anarchists, sentient AI entities, ingenious inventors, and a race of time-agnostic aliens.

Jeron's quest for freedom takes him to the slippery edge of an impending technological singularity, leading to an epic odyssey into the surreal.

The echoverse, a realm of quantum-entangled minds, holds the key to ending a war for Rieva's freedom and preventing total annihilation.

To navigate the chaos of war and the surreal psychological labyrinths of the echoverse, Jeron must embrace an esoteric alien philosophy known as “eom.”

“The eom Expression: Beautiful Chaos” is a satirical science fiction adventure that explores the nature of individuality, freedom, the boundaries of imagination, and challenges our perception of reality. Rest assured, no politicians or government bureaucrats were harmed in the making of this book.

The eom Expression: Beautiful Chaos - A Satirical Science Fiction Adventure
The eom Expression Beautiful Chaos - A Satirical Science Fiction Adventure by David Foresi

I love Sci-Fi so if you have something interesting for me to read, let me know.

Casey Tyler | 2 comments Hi friends!

I just published my debut novel, He Sang to Me. It's a romantic comedy set in New York City, with the wonderful backdrop of Broadway.

Sunday Truelove is a “take-matters-into-her-own-hands” type of girl who uproots her lackluster and monotonous life in New England to move to New York City—the magical hub of musical theater where she dreams of one day becoming a leading lady on the stage.

After winning front-row tickets to a Broadway show, the last thing Sunday expects is the start of a love connection between her and the leading man, Tyler Axel, a blue-eyed, goofy celebrity with disdain for his fame. This meet-cute is more like a meet-explosion. While staring into Sunday’s eyes, Tyler sings the last words of the show’s finale to her, creating a visceral moment between the two. Was the gesture just another part of the act? Or is there truly something between them?

A love story that defies all hurdles, He Sang to Me sweeps you into the wondrous world of Broadway as the place where fairytales transpire and conclude, and perhaps, can even begin.

https://www.amazon.com/He-Sang-Me-Cas...

Hope you check it out!
Thanks,
Casey
