Leia Barko | 34 comments Hi everyone, I'm Leia Barko. I'm the author of the recently published YA dystopian crime thriller book, Ruffian. Here is the synopsis:
Astra Hal is a Ruffian, a member of a secret organization created by the artificial intelligence Sigma, designed to be humanity’s last hope in case all else fails.
Hendric Sanjor is the son of a representative in the United Republic of Global Welfare, the ruling body of the world.
When a virus of unknown origins starts spreading across the planet and Hendric’s family is accused of starting it to gain political advantage, Astra is sent to investigate the issue. When it becomes clear that the accusation is false, the two form an uneasy alliance to hunt down the real perpetrator behind the pandemic. But the puzzles, criminals, and politics they weave through can in no way prepare them for the dark secrets they are about to uncover.

It is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1VX2BW6
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/ruff...
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/ruff...

In exchange for reviewing my book, I will review yours! Mostly, I prefer dystopian but if your book is any other type of fiction, feel free to still put in here along with the synopsis - if I find it interesting, I will review it. I would prefer the reviews to be posted on Amazon, Goodreads, Reedsy, and BookBub, but all platforms are appreciated.

Thanks a lot and hope to hear from you soon!

L.M. Sanguinette | 5 comments Hi all,

I love the positive energy in this book group! I am a newbie indie author looking for some ARC reviews on a fantasy fiction novel that I have written. Totally FREE. It's set to come out in September. I would appreciate any constructive and honest reviews!

I am probably the biggest fan of Avatar the Last Airbender on the planet and my world (Visanthe) was created as a bit of a love letter to ATLA, only instead of 4 elements, there are 6. I am not expecting glowing reviews, but if it touches the heart of one person, I'll be over the moon. I am still tweaking it before it comes out, so don't worry if you find things that don't sit well, but please feel free to contact me and let me know.

I'll leave the blurb below in case any of you are interested. And if you are, you'll be able to find the book on NetGalley <3

Welcome To Visanthe by L.M. Sanguinette

THE SHADOWS HAVE AWAKENED...

Raised on a small unassuming island in the Caribbean, with the kind of sleepy town lifestyle better suited to old fishermen than fiery young troublemakers, Savara believes she has her world all figured out—and hates it. Yet, on her eighteenth birthday—the anniversary of her parents’ death—she wakes up to find the only world she has ever known might have all been a lie.

An unexpected death and the appearance of a mysterious off-worlder force Savara question everything she has ever known as she and Jasper—her "only adventurous in books" best friend—are thrust into the unknown, faced with a task that will not only determine their fates, but the fate of an entire nation. The shadows of a long-forgotten past have awakened with a thirst for blood. Will she be able to stop them from devouring everything in their path? Or will she fall victim to her own demons?

Join them on their journey to a world of elemental magic, where the lines of good and evil have been distorted, and truth is most often paid for in blood.

Welcome to Visanthe.

If you'd prefer not to use NetGalley (though it would help with increasing visibility) you can also find the book here: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/8mv9kg8abm

RM | 3 comments Hi, everybody! I have a new modern fantasy/paranormal suspense title coming out, and I'm looking for ARC readers. Here's the blurb:

How far would you run to get away from a monster? Where could you run if the monster might be you?

Sam has fled from everyone and everything she knows, to a small town at the foot of a mountain and on the edge of the forest. Here she hopes to live out a solitary life, keeping others at arm’s length so that they can’t hurt her—and she won’t hurt them. Out there, in the middle of nowhere, maybe she can discover why it feels like the forest is calling to her, or maybe give a name to the darkness within her that keeps trying to get out.

Sam came looking for solitude, but she quickly meets a kind stranger who offers her a job and maybe hopes for something more. She finds friendship on the rougher side of town, where a local motorcycle gang is led by a rough and charismatic man who claims to know who—and what—she really is. When this formerly sleepy town is rocked by a string of grisly murders, Sam finds herself hunting for the killers and following a trail of evidence that leads back to her new friends.

Sam thought she was running away from her darkness, but her path only leads to a truth wilder than she could ever have imagined, and to ancient powers that believe her to be destined to break their bonds and unleash their fury on this world.

To sign up, message me your email and I'll send you a review copy via Bookfunnel. Reviews are due August 29th.

Thorn Osgood (goodreadscomthornosgood) | 1 comments Hi,
For a free ARC, I am requesting a read/review of my just out novella, Foiled Breach. It's a paranormal-mystery-thriller. A brief description is shown below. Thank you.

DESCRIPTION;
A reckless driver tries to cut in front of Jayle in the left turn lane to the grocery store, but she refuses to let it happen. The driver blows his horn loud and long as she passes by him. She turns into the parking lot, finds a spot, and parks. When she gets out of her car, the same man is parked across the back of her parking space yelling at her. Seeing his red angry face she turns and goes around the front of her car toward the store. Was he going to come inside after her? She didn't think so and went on with her shopping.

Jayle falls asleep later at home and awakens frightened by what she's seen. She's sure it's not a dream. She was there. She'd seen a dead body in a box. How was that possible? What did it mean? She had to find out more.

Sign up at my Message by sending me your email and I'll send you the eBook access information. Your review should be posted on Goodreads.com and from where you obtained your ARC.

Tiki Black | 16 comments Hi everyone!

I am Tiki Black, a new author and I have just self-published a poetry collection, "The Sound Of The Broken Wand". The book is 84 pages / 7.3K words / 24 works and available in paperback and kindle formats.

The book encourages us to break the wands of survival to allow for creative growth and emancipation. There are 6 sections covering each a theme implicit in storytelling, particularly fairy tales from our childhood and beyond: the blood (representing life and death), the cage (representing prison and refuge), the mirror (reflection and deflection), the crown (power and duty/debt), the shoe (journeys and unbeaten paths) and the wand (bewitchment and magic). Each section contains 4 works.

If you're interested in reading it and/or reviewing it honestly, it is available as an ARC https://booksirens.com/book/LIDTE1O/D... as well as on Kindle Unlimited.

Catherine Miele (cdmiele) | 1 comments Hi everyone!
I'm a newly self-published author, and I would love to have some honest reviews of my debut poetry collection, In Bloom.

From the description on Amazon: The collection chronicles the loneliness and despair in the early days of the Covid-19 Pandemic but also the self-discovery and hopefulness found by immersing oneself in nature, culture, and family. In Bloom is a collection for those who long to feel deeply and appreciate both the simplicity and wonder of the world and our places in it.

If anybody would be interested in reading and sharing an honest review on Goodreads and/or Amazon, I can email a PDF copy or it's available in paperback and through Kindle Unlimited.

If you're seeking reviewers as well and want to do a swap, I'd be interested in that, too.

Francis Nantha | 2 comments Hi All,

When you get the chance, I hope you'll enjoy reading my books, Book 1 When Spirits Beckon and Book 2 When Spirits Beckon. Both are available on Kindle Unlimited - but I can send you epubs or pdfs if you can PM me your emails.

The books are made up of a snappy anthology-styled narrative about how spirits in the Afterlife need to influence the realm of the living to fix an overpopulation problem. It's part satirical - how come no once has ever considered this overpopulation issue when we have 9 billion living souls on Earth currently? Not to mention the trillions of creatures - including plant life, fungi and insects.

I'd be happy to return the favor with an honest review if you could send me an epub version or something I can read off the net like a Google Doc link for a book you'd like me to look at or share. I am out of the US - which means I have no access to Kindle Unlimited myself.

Jerilyn | 2 comments Hi everyone;

I’m looking for reviewers for “Enchanted: Time and the Mountain,” my recently published novella for middle grade readers, a fantasy that weaves together three stories of time travel, magical realism and environmental consciousness.

Here’s the synopsis: In 1910, Elliott Hansinger, a brilliant but eccentric engineer, builds a machine that accidentally transports his wife and his children, Ben and Lizzy, into another dimension of fluctuating times and realities. In the summer of 2021, Annie and Will Hartley are precocious youngsters who inadvertently enter a time portal that sends them over 100 years into the past. There they encounter Elliott and his family and discover that they are all trapped in a mysterious world of animals and nature ruled by the wolf-beast, a crafty creature who uses magic to manipulate the flow and direction of time and protect the sacred space of the mountain.

If you’re interested in reviewing the book, please contact me at jsmcintyrex@netscape.net and let me know how and where I can send you a free copy.

Elyssa dreams of spending her days gardening and exploring the forests where she feels at home. But as the unwanted, bastard result of an affair between a married man and the town outcast who died giving birth to her, she instead spends her days catering to her father, stepmother, and half-sister.

When her half-sister falls deathly ill, Elyssa will have to risk her life to find a cure. Whispers have always flooded her town about the mysterious forest to the east. Anyone who has approached it has reported feeling repelled by a dark force. And anyone who has fought past that feeling to enter the forest… has never returned. But the forest supposedly contains a cure, her half-sister’s only hope to live at this point. Elyssa, determined to win her family’s goodwill once and for all, braves all the terrifying rumors and journeys into the forest she’s always felt strangely called toward.

But the forest is unlike anything she could have ever expected. It pulls her deeper and deeper, revealing truths she avoided all her life. It’s terrifying, but in ways that excite Elyssa and make her heart pound with anticipation.

Elyssa will come alive… and so will the forest. Someone — or something — eagerly awaits her arrival.

Excerpts:

***

The man whom I tried so hard to not desire was not making my task easy, for he reached out and placed two fingers under my chin, guiding my face back to look up at him.

“I know what you want,” he said. “Let me give it to you.”

Kayla Grace | 22 comments Hi my names Kayla Grace some of you might remember me as a reviewer. Now I’m currently writing a book on Wattpad called Well, You Fooled Me.
I’m buy no means an amazing author I’m just writing stories I come up with I’m working on getting better lol.
I would love if y’all checked out my book!
A little bit about the book:
We fake date each other for two or three weeks then we have a public breakup." I think Hes hit his head one to many times playing football. "Really that's all you could come up with?" He just rolls his eyes. "It's perfect! Stacy will move on because she can't have me."

Katie Fleming is your average shy girl and sarcasm is her main language.
She has one best friend, well two if you count her best friend's boyfriend. Oh, I forgot to mention she is a total horse girl, who lives and breathes horses.
She thought her senior year was going to be easy, stay single, ride her horse Ripley as much as she can and try her best to get straight A's in all her classes. Well, that was till her school's star quarterback almost hits her with his car.

Wyatt M. Kent is Clearwaters star quarterback and the most popular boy in school. Ever since he hit almost Katie with his car, he can't stop running into her. So, to stop the head cheerleader from constantly flirting with him he proposes the idea of them fake dating. But little did he know getting her to agree might come with a high price.
What happens when you can't tell if you fooling each other, or if the feelings are real?
