Laura ☾ | 1106 comments I will hopefully start this tomorrow! I'm a little behind

Laura ☾ | 1106 comments I got only a little bit into this last night but I'm intrigued!

Funnily enough this is the second sort of Bachelor-type setting for a rom-com I'm reading recently that I picked up without reading the blurb!

Laura ☾ | 1106 comments So I ended up binging this - it was cute overall, but somehow I felt like there was something missing.

I enjoyed the way they discussed mental health and the way Charlie explored his sexuality, but beyond that I don't know I wanted to like it a lot more than i did!

Amelia (whatameliareads) | 268 comments I'd like to join this if that's okay? I know I'm a little behind but I started reading it this morning (the joys of being a mood reading and not being able to commit to a tbr/buddy read in advance)

Laura ☾ | 1106 comments Of course! Feel free

Abigail | 210 comments I ended up reading this way faster than I thought because I got so hooked that I went to the library to get a physical copy.

I thought it was a pretty funny take on fake dating having them with their "practice dates" and "practice kissing" and I'm just sitting here like "👀 okay whatever you say"

I also really enjoyed Charlie's sexuality exploration and also in the end with Daphne I was pretty sure that was coming but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

The mental health discussions were really refreshing to me because I'm used to romance completely skipping over talking about them.

Even tho I knew they had to end up together or this would have been a TERRIBLE romance, I was so worried at the end of the book, like checking how many pages I had left to read worried 😂

I agree that I think it was missing something but it was overall a fun read so I had a good time!

Laura ☾ | 1106 comments Hahaha yes I get you with that ending! To be honest I enjoyed it, but it didn’t blow me away!

Amelia (whatameliareads) | 268 comments I'm getting into now after a reading slump and I'm loving Charlie's slow realisation and it coming from reading Dev's script because reading queer lit and romance books is how I realised I wasn't straight so It's like staring myself in the face.
