She was born the daughter of a very powerful goddess named Bastet. As she grew up, she showed many instances where she had some goddess like powers. Eventually, her parents trained her to hone her skills, and powers, so she could control them. After a while, she was sent to the high school, to learn more about the world.

Artemis is tall for a girl, coming in at about 6'. This only adds to her intimidating aura, as she's a fit, extremely athletic woman. Her eyes can sometimes appear different colors. Naturally they are the cold silver of the moon, though when she is hunting or with her animals they may have a brown or bright green shade to them. She has long black hair that she generally keeps in a ponytail or braid, just so it's out of the way.

Artemis has a deep caring for maidens, especially for maidens whom she presides over. Unlike her twin, she is less "easy-going" and more focused with a much greater understanding of mortals than most of the other Olympians. Although she is reasonable, Artemis holds a general dislike of men although she does acknowledge and respect those who prove themselves to her. Artemis is shown to be an independent goddess who prefers the company of her hunters to even that of other gods. She loves hunting and is associated with the moon. Artemis is among the more sympathetic Olympians and weighs individuals by their actions and choices as opposed to their potential.
However, there is a darker side to Artemis. When angered, she can be ruthless and vengeful. Until she knows someone well or feels that they are a good person, she can seem cold and aloof. She has proven many times that she is not a goddess to be trifled with, and can be noted for her sharp tongue and quick temper. Even her father, Zeus, has been on the receiving end of an angry tirade from Artemis.

Fλτλl Flλш Trust. Artemis has never been the most outgoing or open of goddesses, but after all the attacks on her and seeing what people, not just men, are really like... it grew worse. She has lost faith in almost everyone, gods included. Her independant streak has grown from wanting to do things herself to not trusting anyone and therefore help no matter the cost. Unfortunately, this has cost the lives of some of her hunters and it is likely that it will again.

Ancient:
Everything started when Hera found out that Leto was pregnant by her husband, Zeus. Furious and ashamed of this betrayal from Zeus, she cursed Leto not to find a solid ground or island on Earth to give birth to her children. Leto wandered around all Greece to find a place to give birth but people didn't let her bear her children close to their homes, afraid of Hera's anger. That is when Zeus emerged an island from the sea so that Leto would find a refugee. This island was Delos, which was believed to be a floating island. Leto found a safe refugee to give birth on Delos, which was surrounded by swans. The delivery of Artemis was painless but the birth of Apollo lasted for nine whole days and nights because Hera had kidnapped Eileithyia, the goddess of childbirth. With the absence of Eileithyia, Artemis was the one to help her mother deliver her twin brother, Apollo.
As a child Artemis asked daddy Zeus to grant her wishes – to remain a virgin forever; to be the Phaesporia or Light Bringer; to have a bow and arrow and a knee-length tunic so that she could hunt; and for twenty Amnisides Nymphs as handmaidens to watch her dogs and bow while she rested. She wished for only a single city city dedicated to her, but to rule the mountains and the forests. Zeus was such a softie that he gave her what she asked.
Artemis is one of the few, very elite gods to have killed another god. Adonis, the god of beauty and desire. It is another tale of her vengeance. Aphrodite, Adonis's lover, had killed Hippolytus, one of Artemis's best hunters and friends. When Adonis laughed about how Hippolytus had deserved his fate, the enraged goddess hunted him down with ease and watched as one of her boars gored him to death.
Luckily, Artemis has never claimed to be perfect. Later in her life, She overheard Aura, goddess of cool breezes and a sword maiden, talking. She said that Artemis's body was too feminine, and questioned whether Artemis was actually a virgin. Furious, Artemis told Nemesis, goddess of revenge, what had happened. Nemisis came up with a plot, and manipulated a drunk Dionysus into raping Aura. Aura gave birth to two sons, but was overcome by madness. When Artemis saw how Nemesis had avenged the slight, the horrified goddess interfered. Just in time to save the second son from the mad Aura, who had killed and eaten the first.
Orion is one of her most famous tales. He was her friend, and they hunter together for nearly a year. But Orion was struck by the disease that Eros and Aphrodite spread so effectively, and fell in love with the beautiful goddess. Apollo visited her and tried to tell her this, but Artemis had so much faith in her hunting companion she didn't believe her brother. But as time went on Orion grew frustrated with her blindness and refusals, and attempted to assault Artemis. The goddess called for her brother to help her, and Apollo sent a scorpion to attack Orion while he helped Artemis. Orion lept into the sea to escape the creature, and Artemis took advantage and shot him with her arrows.
The tale repeated itself in the less well known story of Acteon. Acteon was a hunter and one day while out hunting in the forest, he saw her bathing naked in a sacred spring. Acteon liked what he saw and tried to force himself on her. Artemis did the logical thing any woman would do, and reacted with fury and vengeance. Using her wild powers, she changed him into a stag. The stag was then devoured by Acteon’s own hunting dogs.
The virgin had to defend her honor yet again when the twin giants, the Aloadai, tried to make her and Hera their brides. It was easy for Artemis to escape on her own, but she wouldn't leave Hera, despite the Queen's dislike of her. Artemis distracted the giants and got them to chase her into the forest. She changed into a pure white doe and ran between the Aloadai, and when they shot at the deer she dodged the spears and they ended up killing each other.

"Let none disparage Artemis. For Oineus dishonoured her altar and no pleasant struggles came upon his city. Nor let any contend with her in shooting of stags or in archery. For the son of Atreus [Agamemnon] vaunted him not that he suffered small requital. Neither let any woo the Maiden; for not Otos, nor Orion wooed her to their own good. Nor let any shun the yearly dance; for not tearless to Hippo [queen of the Amazones] was her refusal to dance around the altar." - Callimachus

Modern:
Unlike the other gods, Artemis has not tried to fit into human society. She only ventures into cities and purposefully mingles with mortals when she is going to rescue a maiden she feels is being hurt. Other than that she stays in the woods, sometimes accompanying her Hunters. She cares for those girls deeply, and will always come to their aid when called.
She doesn't understand why the other gods are so obsessed with mortals and their world. It's all too noisy and... civilized for a goddess of the wild. So instead of playing with mortals like the others do, she keeps to herself. It is not uncommon for her to vanish into the woods hunting, and not be seen by mortals or even the other gods for a year. She may go and visit her Hunters, but she is very independent and doesn't stay with them for long.
She is not generally one to go visiting other gods, though she doesn't turn them away when they visit her. Usually. But she does search out her twin sometimes, and he is one of the few males that she will voluntarily and happily go hunting with.

Hair: She has long hair that reaches down her back that is a pure snow white tone. A few odd collections of strands appear crimson red and she has a few same hued pins in her hair, clipping back her bangs so they aren't completely in her face.

Eyes: Her eyes are an unnatural crimson and seem to radiate even brighter in darkness.

Distinguishing Marks: Around her neck, up the entire length of her arms and ankles and a bit below each eye are a series of bright red stitches embedded in her skin. It is unknown why she has these in her. Some say they contain the poisonous smog found within her body while others say it is the cause of her insanity. She also has several crimson patterns on her body that resemble large tribal tattoos.



Attire: Lytta normally wears either a black or white short sleeveless dress, long stripped stockings and translucent arm warmers with a set of high heels. She will often fashion bows with her clothing and some times hair and it isn't unnatural for her for her to wear things such as shorts and tank tops. Though she normally only does in the comfort of her own home or on warm sunny days. In formal situations, she will normally wear a dark kimono as seen below.

☬ A playful yet manic girl that doesn't understand the meaning of normality. She has little to no mortality due to mental damage in the past and she has no way of feeling sympathy nor empathy for others. Most know her as completely psychotic, volatile and violent and has often been seen talking to herself or other invisible things around her. Though she just has retained much of her childish nature. She is very playful and its hard for her to take anything seriously, even if she tries to focus on doing so. Though she is a very loving and caring person, so long as something doesn't trigger her violent side.

History:

☬ She was born during the time where her parents were rather close to ending there relationships. All she witness from the both of them being together was the two arguing, usually one of them getting hurt. Lytta tended to lean more so with her father, though of course her mother wanted nothing to do with him and yanked her away from him at a very young age, trying to erase all traces of him away from her mind and replacing him with her step father. Though once she was a few years older, she had awoken late at night and found her step father facing her actual father. She watched the two fight for a few minutes before finally working up the courage to try to stop then. But as she tried, one of the attacks had hit her, suddenly making her extremely sick and left her writhing in pain. The odd disease was that of what she has in her now and damaged quite a bit of her brain to where she had lost much of her basic knowledge and mortality that others have. Several magic red seals were placed on her body to contain the virus from harming her further and ever since that time, she's been in and out of hospitals of all sorts, trying to find a cure, while her father that caused her to become like this was never seen again afterwards.

This fog acts as a very violent disease and can make others extremely sick if inhaled or exposed to it, death as well if not treated properly.

Graz was born and raised in Italy. She was the first born in her family and she was born in Catania in the Sicily region of Italy. When Graz was 2 years old, her brother Alesandro was born. When Graz was 4 years old, her sister Abrienne was born. Graz has many other extended family members, two of which attend Knight High currently. Graz found out about her powers at the age of 12. Her parents then sent her and her siblings to Knight High and since then Graz joined the Soccer Team and she has made a lot of friends. Many cycles ago, the Originals came to this world. They came from far away. They had traveled the stars, for their own home was long gone. It had been destroyed in fire, and those that had survived became wanderers, ranging far and wide. The three Originals were one male, one female, and one who was both. They took among them humans and made them like gods, and they built a great civilization along the banks of a great river.

The Originals, and those ascended like them, lived in cycles of life, death, and rebirth. They have survived for a very long time and the passing of the cycles had taken a toll on their sanity. One among them grew mad, and began to cannibalize other Originals. Eventually this maddened one had to be combated. After a long and bloody struggle, this one was pushed beyond incarnation. This maddened one exists still, in the realm beyond the body, always raving and seeking a way to strike out at the Descendants. Over the cycles, the three Originals each passed on to live beyond the body. The others, not trapped like the first, consciously chose to move beyond.

This is the first life Kyla remembers, although it is a vague one. She was a man, husband to the Original which was slaughtered by the maddened god. A massacre happened, and when the mad god fell, it was already to late. The Temple had fallen and the Aether that the Originals brought with them had shattered. Over time, the Original's power waned and the Descendants fell into madness. They degenerated, without the energy of the Aether Crystal, they became to have an energy deficiency within their souls. This was the birth of the vampires, the corrupted Descendants. After this life, Kyla remembers being a vampire, then a wolf. She was reborn as a male in Sparta.

Because he was effeminate, he did not make a good warrior, so he became a catamite. Pederasty was common during this time. However, Caius was sexually abused and forced into prostitution. He became well known on the streets and then, one night, a group of warriors tried to force themselves on him. The attempted rape caused a Traumatic Awakening, making Caius a lycanthrope. Blinded by primal rage, he massacred them. Caius ran away after he realized what he had done. She was reborn as various animals, until she became an elf, then a heathen warlock in ancient Sweden.

As Tove , he was a volva, a shamanic seer. Because seidr - magic - he was often scolded, being accused of being argr and called Ergi. Argr means unmanly, and ergi is the noun form of argr. Tove lived his life as a niding, constantly picked and being emasculated. He eventually embraced his homosexuality when he married Bjorn, a berserker ten years his elder. Tove recieved a vision of a raid gone wrong and tried to ride out to stop the viking ship that Bjorn was on. He sailed behind them, half a day behind. However, when he arrived at the town, he found nearly all the men dead and Bjorn no where to be found. Kyla was reborn as the spirit of an oak tree in a nemeton, a sacred grove, where she was worshiped by wizards of the druid tradition until she was cut down by Christians. After some lifetimes as animals on Earth and elsewhere, she was born as a male named Gwydion, a knight of the Round Table.

Gwydion was trying to capture a werewolf that had terrorized the lands with some fellow knights until he got the wolf cornered and alone. The wolf triggered a painful Awakening, and in the confusion, it escaped. Gywdion was being fought over by a pagan blacksmith, Peter, and the Christian daughter of a noblemen, Lydia. He could not choose, and offered that they be married together in the old tradition. Lydia was appalled, and refused to be bound in a heretical polygamy. So, in the Summer, Peter and Gwydion lied together in the Beltane Fires. Lydia, defeated, threw herself to her death. Lydia's mother, a sorceress, threatened to cut the red string that connected them, revealing the two were soulmates. Instead, she caused Peter to grow heavy with Lydia and Gwydion's son. The birth killed him, and Gwydion promised they would find each other again, kissing him and stealing his final breath. He threw the baby into a river, its fate is unknown. He was later burned for being a werewolf.

Kyla was reborn as a daughter of a farmer in Japan, his family. The Kurosawa clan, a group of rebel ninjas fighting against a family of samurai warlords, the Yamamoto clans. While he did want to be free of the oppression, she found the fight meaningless, especially when she found love in the arms of the warlord's youngest son. The two eloped, only to seal the fate of their families through an endless cycle of blame and an eventual massacre that ended in the extinction of the bloodline. The two lovers had several children and they lived long lives. Kyla was reborn as a female dragon that lived on the banks of a river. She had mated and was guarding her eggs when a knight came and slayed her. However, in the fight, the knight was poisoned and died. The man went on to be canonized as a saint while Kyla became synonymous with the Devil.

After some lives as both plants and animals, she fought during the Crusades as a man named Gregory. In this life, Kyla's vampire nature showed. He was captured during a siege on Jerusalem, and his captors realized they were dealing with a vampire. He was tortured in a way that Kyla could not reincarnate for several hundred years. Her next life would be as a young witch in Salem, and having it end at the age of fourteen years old. Kyla was born as Louis, a American-born slave which as sold to an ex-pirate. The pirate did not have any other slaves, and Louis feared he might serve as a sex slave. His master turned out to be a vampire and turned Louis. Since this is not an Awakening, Louis did not remember any past lives. The two had a dysfunctional relationship, caught between lover and slave. A militia killed them for their 'unnatural nature'. Kyla was reborn as a wolf and then a shamanic skin-walker Native American two-souled girl.

This girl's tribe was attack and she was taken as a pleasure slave for some rowdy cowboys. She never turned nor did she kill them, she refused to be like them. However, on the night of a lunar eclipse, the men had been drunk and very rough with her. Between her aching body and the cold winter air, she could not sleep. So she stole a knife from one of the men and debated whether or not to kill them. Instead, she took her own life. Kyla lived as humans, animals, plants, even forces of nature. The next life she can clearly remember was a short one. Her family were sikhs that were killed as a result of a hate crime after the events of 9/11. The reincarnation of Peter was among the victims of the terrorist attack. Kyla's soul was abused in a occult ritual in an attempt to give the occultists the ability of chronokinesis. The ritual failed, but as a result, her soul was sent back in time and was reborn. Fυll Ƥнψsιςλl Dεsςгιρτισπ: Like her ancestor, Tanith's hair is a deep red color, flowing down to approximately the bottom of her sternum. Her eyes are incredibly intense, though you never really see them. They are obviously reptilian, with the vertical, slit pupils and a cold, emotionless golden color. She's athletically built and almost ridiculously flexible due to her snake ancestry. At 5'8, she's a bit taller than average for a girl but not outrageously so.
Some of her features are more obviously snakelike though. Running all along the sides of her spine she has a series of tiny scales, small enough that they don't effect anything besides her self-consciousness. She keeps them covered and no one else knows about them. Her tongue is forked like a snake's, causing real awkwardness the one time she kissed someone. She also has a pair of fangs that, like a snake, fold up against the roof of her mouth when she's not baring them. Presumably they're venomous, but she has no clue how to use them and never has.

Tanith's ancestor has changed a lot over time, leaving Tanith with little bits and pieces of each personality. She is not cruel or heartless, but she can be ruthless when she has to be. Killing is not something she enjoys, but when it has to be done she can step up and do it. She knows she's already corrupted beyond all hope, and she tries to keep others from following the same path as her. She does what has to be done, despite any aversions she might have to it.
Since she's a monster, people even here tend to stay away from her. Which is perfectly fine in her opinion. She's always been a loner, uncomfortable and brittle around other people. Being hunted so intensely, she's grown paranoid and distrusting, never comfortable staying in one place for too long. But when she's on the mood and comfortable in her environment, it wouldn't be surprising to catch her humming a Linkin Park song if she doesn't realize you're there. Sarcasm and dry humor are also a great help, though she doesn't talk much around most people.
Keeping what little of a more human side she has left hidden deep inside is a protective mechanism. It's not that she hates anyone personally, it's just that she doesn't trust herself around them. She knows she's dangerous, and she knows that people don't like her. So in accordance to their discomfort, she stays away from people. She doesn't like how they hate her, but you won't see her crying about it in bed. Just accepts it and carries on.
She has her little survival tricks all up her sleeve. She's clever, quickly adapting to any environment and/or situation. Her wild life has given her skills most wouldn't normally pick up, like stealing almost as well as the Hermes kids and lying better than almost anyone.

Athena convinced Hades that Tanith's power was too wild and she presented too great of a threat, so he sent his monsters after her. Xavier knew all about how to fight monsters, and he defended the family. But poor Vitra, already confused, was driven over the edge. She was sent to an insane asylum, and Xavier had to split his time between his wife and daughter. But as more monsters came, he had to spend the time with his daughter, and Vitra was forced out of his mind.

☽ Personality ☾ Inori is first shown to be emotionless, following no ones orders except her own. Once you get to know her, however, she becomes more emotional. She also seems to think she's a burden to others but tries to protect the people close to her. She does not understand her own emotions. For example, if someone sticks around her long enough then suddenly vanishes, which often happens with people close to her, she never understands why she feels so cold. Or, if she's jealous, she'll never understand why and will even have to ask people if she is. She is also shown to be a somewhat cold-blooded person; being able to kill enemies without much hesitation, but has shown a dislike of doing so. She is very sweet to her friends, but very quiet.
After Shu's death, Inori started to display a darker side noted by the fact that she killed or injured a group of students who attempted to undress her in hopes of revealing a tattoo, gleed maniacally before stabbing her brother, and later injured a group of thugs while smilling. But the consciousness that led her to these actions was revealed to be her vampire side, Mana, who began to survive in Inori's body after a ritual was carried out when Inori was 5. Inori, after finding out she was meant as a vessel for Mana, starts to wonder if her feelings and heart were real. She also started to be bothered by the fact that she is a monster after regaining consciousness in the aftermath of Mana's actions.
Other then this, Inori can also be quite stubborn, even if she doesn't look it. She wont take many bullshit and often loses control of her sanity if forced into things, thus making her try to distance herself from others. She isn't new to school, but very few people know her and if they do, they always warn everyone to stay away from her.

Yuki grew up in a small foster home with her Foster Brother, Katzu. She often played with him and he often helped her. Eventually, Yuki's foster mother passed away due to illness. Katzu took care of Her since then, only being about 4 years older than her. One day She and Katzu were walking down the street, Yuki had already made it to the otherside of the street, but Katzu, who was daydreaming, was still in the middle of the street, walking slowly. There was a drunken driver who was speeding, although the light was clearly red, whom nearly ran over Katzu. Yoshino discovered her powers around then, at the last moment she had froze the front of the car, along with its wheels and the ground under it out of fear. Unfortunately, the at hadn't stopped in time, and hit Katzu. He was rushed to the hospital and was in a 3 week long coma. During these three weeks, Yuki stayed by his side. After a while Katzu soon discovered his powers as well. They soon went to a Highschool together, to learn more about their powers and why they had awaken when they did.
