Sean and Jesse have a heart to heart where they talk honestly and openly about their feelings regarding Maddie. Your thoughts about what they revealed to each other? Did they solve anything?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments It's a work in progress. Jesse is going to make stupid teen age boy mistakes and Sean needs to realize that. When Sean truly lets go of his guilt over Maddie, everyone will be better for it.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments They definitely began to solve issues in their relationship.

Both admitted that they failed each other. They both regret past actions. Sean is afraid of not knowing how to be a father, and Jesse admitted that he needs to trust Sean.

Jesse regrets that his mother lied about Sean and was complicit with Carson's involvement in the cartel. He is angry that he can't confront his mother with what he knows.

Sean is angry that he can't be the protector of everyone. He feels he failed his parents and Maddie.

The biggest reveal is that they will never have the capacity to forgive like Lucy suggested and they are both OK with that. Now they can start moving forward.

With all due respect to Lucy, I’m good with their inability to forgive Carson and Maddie. If Sean was consumed by his feelings about them to the point where it ruled his life, I’d have a different opinion. But he’s just fine never forgiving Carson and has moved on. Jesse needs time to have his anger towards his Mom die down. I think Sean giving him permission to be angry will go a long way towards him losing that anger. The. He can forgive his mother.

If Grandpa isn’t careful, he may lose Jesse if he doesn’t start treating Sean better.

Just being open and honest with each other about these issues will keep them on the right path.
