I really don't think Kane pulled out some higher-level psychology to use on Brian. I think Kane laid it out that Brian would be responsible if anyone died and life for him wouldn't be very good if that happened.
I think Kane wanted Brian's undivided attention. Often, if there are more people in the mix, kids can sense sympathy and not pay attention to the message of danger. I believe Kane was totally frank with Brian and let him know that he put everyone in the home in danger. Also, Kane could level with him about the burden killing someone, even an enemy, puts on your heart. Honestly, I was disappointed that we didn't see their conversation.
I didn’t know what to think so thanks for giving me ideas. Kane probably put the fear of God in him, using straight talk maybe not appropriate for a boy his age, more dialogue he’d use with an adult, not wanting Jesse or Michael to be part of that. And, he didn’t want Sean or Brad interfering.
