Jesse discovers that Brian Torres, one of his soccer friends from the Boys Home, is lying to them and disappearing. He confides in Michael and the two of them decide not to involve Sean. Do you think Jesse might have gone to Sean if they weren’t having their own personal issues or would he have still felt as if he needed to keep Michael’s trust?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I think Jesse would have gone to Sean. It was Michael who wanted to handle it on his own, his way. Jesse has so few friends he didn't want to alienate Michael. I also don't think Jesse realized how serious the situation was. By the time he did he was in too deep.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree. Jesse didn't realize how serious the situation with Michael was. I believe that Jesse would have talked to Sean if their communication was more open. At this point in their relationship, Jesse was afraid of disappointing his friends and his father.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I totally agree.

I’m with all of you on this. If Sean and Jesse weren’t dealing with communication issues, Jesse wouldn’t have waited two seconds to involve Sean. While he wants Michael’s approval, Jesse trusts and respects his father more.
