Caarolinaaa | 18 comments Yes!! Thank you, Laurette!!
I like the idea of reading themed books, but whatever you guys choose will be fine. I wouldn’t have chosen “The Bromance Book Club” or “Accidentally Amy”, but I loved them both, so I trust your judgment

message 102: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments Thanks for the list:) I definitely want to read 3rd Bromance Book.
I haven't read anything from that list and don't have any preference so I'll leave the choice to you. I want to read Part of Your world at some point for sure, because anything by Abby Jimenez must be good, but that can wait :) Pumpkin Spice sounds very... halloweeny/novembery, so why not?

message 103: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Ok cool, I want to read the next bromance book too!

message 104: by Lena (last edited Nov 14, 2022 09:21AM) (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments So A Merry Little Meet Cute next? Or are we not in a mood for Christmas books yet?

message 105: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Yes! That works! I just ordered the book a couple days ago. ETA is 11/18, so Friday.

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Just trying to keep this updated:

1. Part of Your World by Abbey Jimenez
2. Set on You by Amy Lea
3. So you don't hate me? by Maria Arnault
4. The Man I didn't Marry by Anna Bell
5. Isn't it Bromantic? (The Bromance Bookclub #4)
6. A Very Merry Bromance (The Bromance Bookclub #5)
7. Runaway Groomsmen by Meghan Quinn
8. Stealing the Bride by Nadia Lee
9. Flirt by Adriana Locke

Lena has the newest read links up then I think we will be moving on to Bromance Bookclub #4 & Part of Your World by Abbey Jimenez

message 109: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments Sorry everyone, but I'm going to read Part of Your world now, because I need to know whether it was better than The American Roommate Experiment before I cast my vote for the best romance this year on GR, and i can't recall anyone showing any interest in it anyway... I hope you don't mind 😘
Her books are always so good and I don't want to feel guilty later if it turns out to be my favourite one this year, lol.

message 110: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments That’s no problem! Sorry we weren’t quick enough!

message 111: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments That is our TBR list. We are starting A Merry Little Meet Cute this week if you are interested.

message 112: by Caarolinaaa (new)

Caarolinaaa | 18 comments Hi everyone! I’m kind of in the same situation as Lena, I want to read some of the books before voting for the best romance of the year, plus I’m on vacation, so I’ll be late to the books we are reading now, but soon as I can I will catch up

message 113: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments That’s no problem, Carolina!

I just kinda want to be able to finish the Bromance bookclub books by the end of the year.

message 114: by Caarolinaaa (new)

Caarolinaaa | 18 comments Yes!! I’m totally into that, plus the last one has a Christmas theme, so it is perfect for this season! Count me in any of the readings you are planning!

message 115: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Ok, cool!

message 116: by Lena (last edited Nov 21, 2022 03:32AM) (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments How about we pick a different Christmas book? 😅

There's a few options here:
https://www.goodreads.com/blog/show/2...

message 117: by Lena (last edited Nov 21, 2022 03:44AM) (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments My picks are:
Just Like Magic by Sarah Hogle and A Cat Cafe Christmas by Codi Gary

The first one because I read something from this author and, even though i don't remember what it was, i think i liked it. The 2nd because I'm sure Laurette will want to read it since it's got cats in it 😁

message 118: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Just like Magic works. I just ordered it so should be here next week

message 119: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments I just got the 5th Bromance book if anyone wants to read it? Otherwise I can read it on my own.

message 120: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Oh somehow I missed the cat book above! Definitely! haha

message 121: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments Happy New Year everyone!

So what's next?

I didn't have a lot of time for reading around Christmas time - I had my family over for 3 weeks and it was hectic :D I coudn't even focus on several audiobooks and kept dropping them after a couple of chapters, lol! So I didn't end up reading Just Like Magic or A Very Merry Bromance and I think I'll leave them till next December....

Anyway, does anyone feel like starting another buddy read? :)

message 122: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments I never read the bromance Christmas either. Next year is fine. Who wants to pick the next book?

message 123: by Caarolinaaa (new)

Caarolinaaa | 18 comments Hi!! Happy everything to everyone 💕
I had almost the same December as Lena, and the only thing I could read were novellas 🫠 but I am back and would love to read a banger!! Haha would be great to begin the year with an awesome romcom, it could be from the list Laurette posted before, is there any book you have only read great things about?

message 124: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments How about Set on You?

message 125: by Anna (new)

Anna A. Lane (annaalane) | 119 comments Happy new year!

I know I have been away for a while, but I’m ready to try and keep up again!

I’m for set on you!

message 128: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments Great! Let me know when you get your copies and we'll start. I've had mine for weeks now, so I'm ready :)

message 129: by Anna (new)

message 130: by Nicky W. (new)

Nicky W. (Bookstacks_and_Coffeecups) | 59 comments I have my copy now too.

message 131: by LC (new)

LC Cardadeiro | 232 comments Mine says out for delivery but I’m in California in the states and we are having severe rain with flooding. So some days the mail doesn’t come. But feel free to start and I can catch up!

message 132: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments Ok, let's start reading this week then :)

message 133: by Lena (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments I think that we should be planning our next book as soon as we start reading a new one - just so everyone is ready in 4 weeks time, you know? That way there will be plenty of time to order/borrow it, no stress involved, and I can add it to our group's upcoming reads so if there's anyone new joining the group they will see straight away what's going on.
:)
Does anyone have any suggestions?

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

message 149: by Lena (last edited Feb 27, 2023 01:00AM) (new)

Lena (madworld) | 232 comments There might be a bit of romance in it, knowing TJR, but probably not a lot :) I'm all for reading it though.
But I'll pass on the series about the orc, lol 😂
