ABANDONED. Short Story about person who is always on their phone. Spoilers ahead.

So, uh, I didn't actually read this one myself, just found out about it online. How I found it would take forever to explain, but basically someone mentioned in a Youtube comment that they read a short story where a kid or a teenager who is always on their cellphone ends up (view spoiler)[transforming into a cellphone "with human features" (hide spoiler)].
I tried to look it up, but was only able to find someone else looking for the same book: "A storybook that is a collection of funny stories, it's a New Zealand book and one of the stories is about someone who talks on their mobile phone a bit too much...there is a twist towards the end of the story where (view spoiler)[the person transforms into a phone (hide spoiler)]."
I'm really curious as to what this one could be, and I think I have enough information that I can identify it even if I haven't read it before.
