But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life. Because here’s the thing—if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected. And where’s the fun in that?

I don't know what to expect going into this book. I love dogs though so hopefully that will make this book super enjoyable.

I have not. I usually stick to sci fi or mysteries.

If I'm not lying, I'm struggling with this book a little bit. I like that her summer now has to be spontaneous, but I'm finding the book to be a bit dry. Like I feel like you don't need as many pages as this book is to tell this story. Maybe the issue is the chapters are so long and my attention span is dwindling a little.

(view spoiler)[ I do predict that Andie will help Clark save his puppy. I suspect the dog has eaten some chocolate, but after saving his puppy maybe he will open up a little (even though its Andie thats keeping him a far). I also suspect that Clark's parents are dead. I got the feeling while they were on the date talking and I think I remember Clark said it was complicated or something when talking about his parents. And the fact that he's not going to college either.

I also hope that Andie and her father get closer now that her father doesn't have to work for awhile. Hopefully the conversations they have are a bit less forced after a while because lord are they difficult to read (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Ok so I was right about the chocolate poisoning. From what I know about dogs from my vet, dark chocolate is the worst chocolate for dogs, but maybe that was incorrect. I was happy that Andie and Clark got closer, but I've never heard of a dog walking company to ask someone to stay over and help the owner of a sick dog out. Hmm.

I'm still struggling to read this book a bit, but going to continue! (hide spoiler)]

Im enjoying this book a lot more. I like the crossover of (view spoiler)[ Clark's book at the end of chapters and the telling of the story. I also like that Andie and her dad worked stuff out and they finally talked about what was going on. I think this was definitely a growing point for the both of them (hide spoiler)]

Im excited to keep reading. Will probably finish this book either today or tomorrow!

(view spoiler)[ I 100% knew that Toby was going to find out that they were keeping the fact that Bri and Wyatt were hooking up from her. I also knew she wasn't going to take it well, because well, who would take that well?

In a sense, I think that Andie was acting like her father, but I don't think she thought it entirely through in this situation. (hide spoiler)]

This wasn't my usual read and I will stick to what I said in the beginning: a lot of the book seems more like a filler. But I did enjoy reading it. I think it may have been a little too girly dramatized for me, but that's just my opinion. I did like how Clark's book played into the book and how the story ended.
