Oh no, Elinor can't die can she??? No, she goes with Daniel, and he'll be the king when this is all over so. . . eh, hopefully she'll be fine.

All right, when I saw the comment that said a major character was going to die I immediately was concerned. But on the other hand....I have to say it's fun to be speculating about the next book and know that we're going to get to read it soon. :D
@Katie WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? (I hope it's not true....)

Cause . . . cause . . . *splutters* It's hard to explain.
He's Kaden. He's everybody's favorite. He's the most important person in Kyrin's life, other than Jace. If somebody BIG is going to die . . . ? I just don't think we can assume Kaden is safe because we all love him so. If anything, that makes him less safe.

@Katie It's okay! I was kind of kidding. ;) But now that you've given your reasons for thinking so I AM more worried...you make legitimate points. :/

No, I know ;) ;) Yes :-/ I'm worried, too!! I can just see Jaye slipping the lead into the boxing-glove, as Bertie Wooster would say . . .
*slips on to speculation thread* 😨 *backs away slowly with much nervous gnashing of fingernails* But, Jessica (I still can't think of you as Katie)! You referenced Bertie!!!! Love it!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . *sighs* I hope I'm not right.
:D I sure did! Love Bertie! And Wodehouse too.
(Lol, that's okay!)
*sees the comments on this thread* *breaks into maniacal laughter* I probably shouldn't be so amused by this. Y'all aren't bringing up one of the most important characters. :( I'm going to miss him.
Oooooon a happier note, can we talk about who'll be getting a pet bunny in Bitter Winter? Because I really don't want to talk about death.
Bunnies!!! :D I love bunnies! Who gets bunnies? *opens bunny pen and lets loose five hundred bunnies in Series Speculation Hall*
Here's the plot:Jace and Kyrin decide to take Meredith hunting (or Meredith begged them to), and they're not really being very successful 'cause Meredith has this huge heart and can't actually stand to have them kill anything.
And then they come across this injured rabbit - perhaps it has a broken leg, or something. A wolf is about to eat it - but they rescue it.
Now, the rabbit is hurt badly, it would, perhaps, be better to put it out of its misery and eat it for supper, but Meredith won't have anything of it, and Jace goes along with it becuase of #TyraMemories. And so they take the animal home, and Meredith cares for it, and it gets better, and they all live happily ever after.
BECAUSES THAT'S WHAT THESE CHARACTERS DESERVE. HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
(Idkw, but Jayrin parenting Meredith is about my favorite thing on the planet, and I need more of it, stat.)

KENDRA, YOU JUST COMPLETED MY DAY. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
Who wants to bet one Jayrin marital argument will be over Jace saying yes to "Look what I found! Daddy, can I keep him?" one too many times. "What do you mean, Daddy said you could keep the bird? Do you know how much bird poop I have to clean off of our dishes? Jace, you cannot train a bird to stop pooping on things; stop saying you can."
Addyson wrote: "Who wants to bet one Jayrin marital argument will be over Jace saying yes to "Look what I found! Daddy, can I keep him?" one too many times.
XD Yes, that would certainly be Jace.
XD Yes, that would certainly be Jace.

I'm going to speculate that Addyson is trying to lead us the wrong way. I'll bet we did mention the fate character and she's female.
Dec 14th. Is that the date?
I think, like a lot if things, Jace got his fierce overprotectiveness from his grandfather (he literally sold his grandson into slavery to protect his daughter's emotions), so I think, if the Delanor ship sails, it would be interesting if at the inevitable family reunion at the end of the series, Daniel finds himself TERRIFIED at the grilling he goes through from Jace's garandfather which is so much worse than the one he'll have to get from Jace. And to think Daniel thought What's-His-Name was a little too respectful of rank.
So I noticed the picture of a young woman with a baby on the Daican's Heir section of the official Ilyon Pinterest board, and she looked too fancy to be Kyrin, so I think it's Davira. I think she succeeded in having that heir she said she would have.

Addyson wrote: "I don't think Davira will care."No, but, other people might? It could be used against her (especially since she's already sapped so much of the population's good will with random & erratic violence).

Kendra wrote: "I think that the woman holding the baby is the queen, not Davira"I'm new to this post ... But I agree with Kendra!
True...not Kyrin's mom, because, again, too fancy. But maybe his mom? Given the book's title, though, I'm going with Davira's baby.
Unless it is even further after Bitter Winter than we think and it's Daniel's (And another character's) son or daughter?
When I saw the title I was so excited because it's Daniel himself isn't it? He's Daican's Heir but he's a believer. It's the happy ending at the end of the dark tunnel. :D Bye bye Davira somehow, new nice king, happily ever after! It first gave me that impression when we saw the old flag in Samara's Peril. He's going to get the throne, reverse his father's wrong, put up the new flag, the end! :D (Unless, yes, Jace is somehow the heir. XD) That's my take on the title. :) I think it's a positive one. :)

Thanks!
Addyson wrote: "Except Molly has said before that the whole series goes over only three years, so it can't be that."I think it is positive too. Otherwise, I might be heartbroken!
I actually think that Davira was already pregnant when she made that announcement - I mean, we saw that she was already engaging in, um, baby-making activities, and that she has no problem getting pregnant. And I think that's why we heard nothing from the castle itself in Bitter Winter.
