IT IS HORRIBLE! NO! AGH! (Don't worry guys, it'll work out. Remember that they're getting married. Hehe.) Just please don't kill us while we're waiting, Jaye.

But WHAT HAPPENEDTOCAUSEIT??????????? Did they argue? Did he hurt her accidently????? It obviously has something to do with his ryrick blood or ... maybe it was the kiss????
Kendra wrote: "But WHAT HAPPENEDTOCAUSEIT??????????? Did they argue? Did he hurt her accidently????? ...Or it could just be some small, minor disagreement, and we're all freaking out for no reason. Jaye probably shared that to yank our chains, and is even now laughing mmaniacally while we panic. ;)
*starts hyperventilating* This is awful. A rift. Between Jayrin. Guys - I think I'm having a panic attack. Like literally. I'm not kidding, I feel like I'm going to be sick. I need chocolate… or hugs. I think I screamed when I read it, but it's all a blur; I can't remember…*starts crying*
I'll give you hugs, poor firefly. I'll cry with you. We can gorge on chocolate and be sick together! (Jaye, this better be a false alarm.) *chokes sob*
*tears streaming down cheeks* Th-thank you. *accepts chocolate* Please, Jaye, let it be a false alarm.... *in a broken whisper*please....
(The author in me is very amused by this situation. The reader, not so much)I don't think we need to be SERIOUSLY worried about Jayrin - because I know that they will work themselves out sooner or later. I just want to know WHAT CAUSED THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE?????
Just so you know, I actually kind of like this part of the story because it's so real. All real relationships have their rocky moments.
If you did romance that was all relationship drama (like in Spider-Man 3) you'd have to feel bad. Rocky moments are nothing to feel bad over. :)
Well, I mean, you *have* poked at your fangirls' emotions, caused us to weep excessively, given more thought to a fictional potentially almost-broken relationship between two characters that everyone has shipped. You know. The usual author-reader turmoil we are constantly being put through.
YES YES GUYYYYYYS IT IS BAD. But surely it can't be that bad. I mean...right?I'm guessing it's just Jace's feelings of inadequacy, or the whole they-think-the-other-one-is-mad-at-them thing. But still. STILL. NOT. OKAY.
Jaye, I agree. I like these parts of stories because they are real. I don't enjoy reading characters whose circumstances and relationships are always perfect because I can't relate to them anywhere near as deeply.
So true. Nobody really has a relationship like half the people in the Elsie Dinsmore series where they never fought a day in their lives. That's just as annoying as a relationship that's nothing but drama. There has to be a balance. Random tidbit of information: I've heard that people with siblings are more likely to stay married because they're used to having to work through problems and still stay friends. I can totally see how that would be true. My sisters and I get mad at each other, but it never lasts long and we're back to being best friends again.
That makes total sense. You're kinda stuck with your siblings, so why not make it work? Like marriage should be any different...shouldn't you be stuck with them too? After "I Do," it doesn't get easy...but now it's a commitment. :)
Jaye wrote: "Just so you know, I actually kind of like this part of the story because it's so real. All real relationships have their rocky moments."Yeah, chill out ladies, it's going to be ok. So what, they had a fight? Welcome to reality, the awesome part about good relationships is that they withstand fights and humanity, and by the grace of Elom, they become stronger. And we're all for Jayrin getting stronger and growing together right? We should welcome this next step with open arms.
Morgan wrote: "So true. Nobody really has a relationship like half the people in the Elsie Dinsmore series where they never fought a day in their lives. They made me feel like a bad Christian, and then I realized that she was WAY too fictional. Also, I hated Mr. Disnmore, even after he became a Christian, he was still a control-freak.
Ha! Yes, I have been told that my older brother and I argue like an old married couple before. My mom often just lets it happen so that we can get a little experience under our belts.
I still like the Elsie books, but at the same time there are a lot of things I don't like. I like the ones with Lulu best, since she's a lot more realistic of a character. Well, til she becomes a Christian, then she's perfect like everyone else. But I totally get how it would make you feel like a bad Christian. It kind of does that to me too.Amanda wrote: "That's an interesting theory, Morgan. I like it. :)"
It's not original to me, I think my mom saw it somewhere on the internet and told me, but I like it too. :)
I read the first Elsie Dinsmore book and I kind of liked it, but yeah, it was perfect people and Mr. Dinsmore was a little...over the top. I actually read the revised/updated versions, called the A Life of Faith series, and liked those much better, but still not Elise all that much. Actually, the Millie Keith books part of that series (not the originals, the redone ones) changed my life as a just-turned-teenager. And then I finally read the Violet books of that series last year, and those were so perfect for what I needed in my life right then. So. All this to say, I highly recommend those for people fed up with Elsie's perfectness. They're out of print, but libraries still have them. :)
...Annnd this is not a series speculation. *facepalm* Whoops. Sorry!
I'm not too concerned about it either because come on, Jace trying to make up with Kyrin is going to be adorable. All we all just KNOW they're going to end up married eventually.;)Hmmm, why were they fighting though? Maybe Jace was being overprotective of Kyrin? I like the theory of Jace still being unsure about himself and their relationship, but would Kyrin really get mad about that? She just seems so patient.
My current theory is that in a fit of emotion, for some reason, he kissed her, and now neither are sure what to do about it, and are now avoiding each other. Just a theory, but it'd be totally them.
Awwwww!!! Kendra you just broke me!!! Jace kissing Kyrin, Jace kissing Kyrin, EEEEEKKKKKK! *steps outside to get some fresh air*
Knowing how Jaye writes romance, I seriously doubt that the rift in their relationship is a stolen kiss.
I find it interesting how speculation tends to piece together the very few facts we know for sure about the book and theorize about how one fact could be caused by the other... In a book as long as Ilyon Chronicles' installments are, what are the chances of what we know being related like that...? :)
To quote Jaye and Hanna from Jace's thread:Jaye wrote: "Jace hasn't cried since he was a child. It's kind of a thing that comes into play later on."
Hannah wrote: "Ok I wondered If I just skipped it or..wait a minute, later *gasps and look of horror apears on face* WAIT, NO KYRIN! Does something happen? Ah I can't stand the suspense. Kyrin is the only person ..."
._. *blink* ._. *blink* o_o *stare* o_O
Excuse me...
*goes outside and gives one of those bookish cries of possible future trauma at the hands of a skillful author*
Okay, breathe...nothing's happened. No need for panic. Yet. *deep breath* *thinks of other possibilities*
Not to be morbid or anything, but what if something happens to Ryad? I'd still cry, but I don't think I'd be staring at the page and rereading it over and over and over again to see if I really read what I thought I read...
I mean, I would, but not in the same way. If you know what I mean... :P
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?!?!? D:
Pardon me if this turns out to be nothing. *coughs sheepishly*
Hannah wrote: "Yes, obviously that arena is just meant for Jace. It might as well have his name on it."I didn't even think of that:( I knew it was probably for the Christians, but Jace?! NOOOO! I think I might cry:'(
Ok I what if Jace and Kyrin get captured Jace is sent to the colosseum and he has no idea what happens to Kyrin, and the emperors men tell him that they killed her! ( or was holding her till he gave info about the Camp and stuff!) (@stargazer I wasn't sure how to reply on a different thread, but I freaked out when I saw what you commented on Jace's thread)
Let me just step in and quote Miss Jaye here. "Of course some of you will make it." Now allow me to echo Kaden. "SOME?" SOME?!?!? SOME!!!!!!!!!???????? *takes a deep breath* If Jace, Kyrin, Kaden, Trask or ANY of them die it will be horrible. If Jace thinks Kyrin is dead and she isn't or vise versa it all will be horrible. *unwraps a Hershey bar and takes a bite*. I feel like I should've been trained to combat all these feels.
SOME!!!!!!!!:0 JUST SOME I've never actually read a book where someone dies ( except these) and I've never had to wait for the next book to come out and I'm like panicking!! ARRRGGG WHAT WILL HAPPEN
Hannah wrote: "SOME!!!!!!!!:0 JUST SOME I've never actually read a book where someone dies ( except these) and I've never had to wait for the next book to come out and I'm like panicking!! ARRRGGG WHAT WILL HAPPEN"Wow. Really? Good for you! I keep a list of every character that dies in books I read. There's about 62 of them... The characters that died in TKS are in there too... :(
I got out my journal and wrote about it till I had to go to bed (Me and my sisters share a room and they turned the lights off, so I'll probably continue my rant tonight ;)
I actually read a lot of books where characters die, and it's realistic. I know, it's very sad, but it's also usually unavoidable. I prefer it to be realistic. :)
You've created a superb story and very real characters, Jaye. Look at all the emotions your little sneak peaks are causing us!!! ;)I'm worried about Jace and Kyrin... but more so excited to see how their relationship comes together. It's so real, deep, and built on friendship and genuine care for each other. Beautiful!! I know they will come through!!! ^__^
(Right, Jaye? I mean, we refuse to think otherwise, haha)
