Yes, obviously that arena is just meant for Jace. It might as well have his name on it.

It's mentioned in the first book and several times since then.
Oh. Okay. Apparently its mentions weren't in spots that would have logged in my brain.
Let's see, in the King's Scrolls, it is mentioned when they are in the old bell tower, and Jace sees it with dread.
Ah. I remember that mention, but it didn't register that it was a NEW arena.
I like the idea of Rebekah for Liam. She's really sweet, and he's still in need of a girl. Her father can't object too much since he'll only be the brother-in-law of a half-ryrik. :) (Funny thing, my sister Rebekah got Liam on the "which Ilyon guy is right for you" quiz.)

That would be AWESOME. Yes, we really haven't seen much of her. And she's a part of why Daniel doesn't think of running away, so maybe she's a decent person. Though I don't think Daican would have married a decent person so maybe she's not.

Jace is definitely going to fight in that arena. What if he is forced to fight one of his friends???
Well, I have hard time imagining a forced fight between friends. If Kyrin's life was on the line, then maybe Jace and Kaden could be like, "You want a duel, fine, we do it for fun all the time."
That would be horrible if it were a fight to the death.

Maybe Daican decides, "New thing for getting rid of Elom worshipers, they get tossed in the arena." And then he captures Jace and one of his friends and they have to fight or else . . . I can't think of anything that would make them fight though, so that wouldn't really work. Unless something horrible happens and one of our favorite characters turns bad and Jace gets to fight him and sort of wants to but thinks he shouldn't, but that'd be really bad. O_O

I JUST THOUGHT OF THE AWESOMEST THING EVER.Okay, so there's no way this is going to happen (especially since we're sure Rayad's gonna die), but: What if Jace's mom is good, and alive, and his dad was ether good or bad but ether way, dead, and then, at the end, Rayad and Jace's mom fall in love and get married! Rayad would be Jace's dad-in-law and Rayad would get a girl! :D :D :D :D ...Ahem. That's my hopeless romantic and Rayad fangirl self getting together. But wouldn't that be awesome?

Jayrin's pretty awesome. Can't say it's my favorite 'cause I have waaaay too many, but it's really great. :) Jace is so adorable. Though am I the only one who thinks he's falling for Kyrin before she falls for him? Something makes me think she still sees him as just her real good friend and he's already thinking romantically. I think it's funny because I used to be a "Ewww romance" person, and now I'm a total fictional romance nut. :P Not sure where the switch happened, but I love it now. Though yeah, as a side-plot not the whole story, that gets old with all the silly misunderstandings and stuff.
Jayrin is my absolute favorite fictional couple. I love them together!

Hmm, it would be way cooler if they managed to band together in the arena and make a grand escape, right in front of a huge crowd and Emperor Daican. Talk about embarrassing for him, and awesome for them! I can just see them all standing back to back in a circle, Avengers meets Arcacia, that would be amazing!

What if Jace and Davira are twins. Jace's dad, a good ryrik, married Solora to keep her from becoming the wife of the evil Daican, for she was betrothed to him. Jace's dad is a follower of Elôm. (If that's possible.) Solora hated Elôm, and sent him away, thinking he was dead. She sold Jace as a slave as a young boy. She kept Davira though, knowing it's be easy to hide her half-ryrik blood. When she married Daican, she told him how "terrible" her ex-husband was, and told him about Jace, and therefore Daican hates ryriks and Elôm (with the exception of his daughter). Jace doesn't know this, but his father is alive somewhere and he has an evil twin sister, mother, and step-father. *plot twist* and they all want him dead.
Well, that's a VERY interesting theory! Pretty fantastic too. I've wondered if Davira and her mom are entirely human. However, I think Jaye has told us that Solara isn't all that bad. Apparently, Daniel gets his good qualities from her. But seriously, you should keep this in mind for a story of your own. :)

Yeah, I think Daniel is older. I wouldn't toss the entire theory away yet. Perhaps Solara is secretly part ryick, kind of like Queen Esther. :)

I think that it is possible we are going to get to experience some ryriks who are still followers of Elom, but I would hate to have Jace be related to the queen or Davira, besides, Davira is WAY too much like Daican for her to be an adopted daughter. Also, poor Jace has enough problems, the last thing he needs is some awful relatives.
Okay, if the ryriks were the first to turn away from Elôm, that would mean that they had a choice. If they had a choice, then, that would mean that they have souls, correct? They are assumed to be animals, but they had a choice. Am I right?
