James Jennings | 17 comments I'm trying to update my Goodreads information about my book:
Salt and Light: Meditations on the Sermon on the Mount

I noticed that on Amazon KDP I entered it with a hyphen (-) instead of a colon (:) ... If I change it in the edit on Goodreads will that create a problem? Will it change anything other than that minor edit? Thanks.

James

Elizabeth (Alaska) That would be the correct edit to make (changing the hyphen to a colon)

James Jennings | 17 comments Elizabeth- I'd prefer to make my Goodreads description match what's on Amazon. Amazon has the hyphen. Can I change the Goodreads description to match KDP?

Elizabeth (Alaska) I'm sorry, I thought you meant that the title on Goodreads was with the hyphen and you wanted to change it to a colon. Goodreads policy is that titles and subtitles are separated by a colon.

James Jennings | 17 comments So does that mean I need to change it on KDP to use the colon?

James Jennings | 17 comments Never mind. I went ahead and changed it on KDP.

I have another question. I'm still a bit confused about different formats, ASIN, and ISBN numbers. Currently, if I choose "Buy on Amazon" it doesn't find my book.
- The Kindle version is available for preorder with ASIN- B09W11V9BX (they don't use my ISBN).
- The print version will be posted by June 1 with ISBN 9798985931204
So, how do I get the "Buy on Amazon" to go to the link for my book, and do I need to create a separate entry for the print version?
Sorry for not getting this but it's a bit complicated. Thanks.

Sandra | 31506 comments Yes, the paperback would be a separate entry. Every edition is entered separately, but combined so they are found together.
