Ruvyn smiled back easily, giving him a kind look. After a moment, he extended a hand towards Xen to shake. "I'm Ruvyn, by the way," he introduced himself. It was in that moment he noticed Xen scratching, but he said nothing about it, though he looked rather worried.

He slowly grabbed Ruvyn's hand and shook it. "I-I'm Xen" he said quietly. "Are you ok? you seem like somethings up" he said, sounding a little concerned.
Ruvyn smiled when he learned the mans name. "A pleasure, Xen." He blinked at his question to Ruvyn, and he gave an easy smile, shrugging a bit. "Yeah. I'm alright. It's you I'm worried about," he told him sinply, nodding to the peeling skin. "Like I said the other day... my physician can help you. The offer is still on the table."
"A-About me? I..." Xen looked down. "I-I just don't want to be a bother. I know what's wrong. I just have no way to deal with it. You can't cure it and neither can they." he said walking away, sobbing.
Ruvyn nodded, smiling warmly. He shook his head at Xen then, shrugging lightly. "Its not a bother...." He trailed off, frowning as Xen walked away, crying. Ruvyn paced after him, his brows furrowing. "But how do you know they can't help?" he asked softly, watching Xen curiously. "I mean, you never know unless you give it a try."
"I know because we've tried. And every doctor I went to told me it couldn't be cured." he said, trying to choke back his tears. "I shouldn't be outside from 11 to 4 but I can't do that, so I go out anyway."
Ruvyn was quite for a moment, frowning a little. He sighed softly, giving Xen a sympathetic look. "Well.. I'm sorry to hear that," he told him earnestly. Then he fell quiet again. "...How much do I owe you for this book?"
He looked down and lightly rubbed his arms. "five dollars" he said very quietly. He sounded like he was about to cry again. He sighed hevily and turned away from Ruvyn.
Ruvyn nodded, handing Xen the money. He turned to leave again, but then paused, and turned back, clearing his throat. "Do you happen to be up to anything this evening?" he wondered, tilting his head to one side.
Xen's eyes slightly widened. "U-Umm. N-No...No I am not. Why? is there something you needed?" he asked as he put the money away. "If you're trying to come see me then I guess that's fine."
Ruvyn shrugged a bit. "Well, if you were up for it, I figure we could just... go for a walk? You don't have to say yes, of course; but I figure it would be something to do, besides sulking around this shop," he pointed out, a small smile on his lips.
"I-I guess we can do that. And I'm not just sulking, I'm working" he said cleaning up. "And I know I don't have to say yes, but I will go with you. What specific time? And where should I meet you?" he asked sweeping.
Ruvyn laughed a bit at that. "Alright, fair enough, sorry," he said. Then he nodded, seeming satisfied. "And, well... perhaps sometime after dinner? I'll just stop by again, since that might be easiest," he supplied, smiling slightly.
Xen nodded and went back to cleaning. "I guess that's fine. So...I guess I'll see you later" he said as he started putting books away. He struggled as he tried to put some books up on a high shelf.
Ruvyn nodded as well "Sure thing," he agreed, and was about to leave the shop. But then, he saw Xen struggle to put those books away, and paused. He then strode over, and decided to give him a hand. "Need some help?" He asked kindly. Without waiting for a response, he easily reached for the books, and placed them wherever Xen was trying to put them.
Xen softly smiled. “Great”. He looked over at him as he watched him walking towards him. Hisveyes widened as Ruvyn sort of reached over him to put the book back. “I-I didn’t even answer you though.” He said nervously.
Ruvyn laughed and shrugged. "Not a problem. I'll see you later then," he told Xen cheerfully, then with another small smile, departed the store. He walked back up towards the castle, feeling happy about their engagement later that day.
Xen sighed and softly smiled. When it was almost time for them to meet, Xen got ready. He wasn’t really sure what to wear. He didn’t want to be too fancy nor too casual. He just wore tight pants, a t-shirt and a jacket. Xen cringed at himself and then just waited for Ruvyn
Ruvyn chose to go with regular brown pants, and a white shirt for tonight, deciding to keep it casual. He pulled on his brown boots, and managed to slip out of the castle unseen. It didn't take him long to walk down towards the book shop, smiling a bit as he spotted Xen waiting for him.
Xen looked over and saw Ruvyn. He walked over to him and stayed quiet. He wasn’t trying to be rude but he was a bit nervous.
Ruvyn paused as Xen closed the distance between them, and he nodded a bit in greeting. "Don't worry, I'll lead the way; there's a particular place I think you might enjoy," he assured Xen with a small smile. With that, he set off down the street.
Xen was a little nervous so he followed from behind him. He was thinking of all the things he could possibly say that was weird and all the possible outcomes. He opened his mouth to say something but then caused it again.
