Jolien | 24 comments The first book I'd like to read with you is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon! We'll use this discussion folder to discuss it :D

Claudia {SparrowHawk} (sparrowhawk24) Yay! So excited to have buddies to discuss this book with :)

To answer your question on suggestions, I've participated in a few online book clubs where each member takes turns presenting a theme to discuss based on the selected number of chapters we all agree to read. We generally email the theme/question and proceed to share our response on our blogs, but this forum could work too!

Do you have a schedule for the read along? Number of chapters to read within a week? Month?

I was just looking through the book and it's divided into 7 parts but they all vary largely in size. So I was thinking of creating seperate topics like "Chapter 1-5" so we could discuss them there together. Chapter 1 through 5 is about 100 pages, so I'd keep every chapter-selection about that size.

How long would we take for those? A 100 pages every...?

Claudia {SparrowHawk} (sparrowhawk24) In all truth, for me, it would take about 2 weeks max. I can't fall behind on my reviews, or my little ones and their school ha ha! I'm just speaking for myself though :)

2 weeks for the 100 pages, you mean? Or we could do it without a time limit. You could just start on the 16th and read when we can and everytime we finish one of the parts we chose we could discuss it.

That. Sounds. Amazing. :D

Sorry, didn't mean to shove a schedule on your plate; I'm a mom. I homeschool. Schedules are my life. ha ha!

Oh, you have nothing to be sorry for! What do you think about that? If I make divisions of the seven parts, and we all start reading on the 16th and then comment and discuss on the part you've finished?

Or would you prefer a time limit?
