Paul Damien | 4 comments Just joined the group and wanted to say "Hello"!
Finished re-reading Kerr's "A Philosophical Investigation." Would love to hear from others that may have read this brilliant thriller.
Cheers
Paul

I agree!! Also, love Leon Uris, although, I suspect, he wouldn't be classified as a thriller writer.

Paul Damien | 4 comments Sorry, this messaging is new to me. Please forgive me, for I'm unsure whether I'm replying to Christine/Icewineanne/Faith.

Leon Uris wrote WWII stuff; his masterpiece, in my opinion, is Mila 18, although Exodus is considered his best by critics.

As for Philip Kerr, the novel I alluded to is brilliant, for it's such a clever idea: a serial killer who's genetically predisposed to kill other serial killers. I was surpised Kerr didn't challenge the creators of Dexter, since it was essentially Kerr's idea.

The way Kerr decimates Ludwig Wittgenstein (the Cambridge version of Deepak Chopra), is memorable.

Christine Mathieu | 583 comments I guess I'll pass this one by Kerr. I didn't enjoy "Dexter" at all.

I enjoyed Mila 18. The page count may seem a bit daunting, but it's one of those books where time goes by quickly while reading.
