From my perspective, it's vastly used to express excitement. :3 That's what I use them for!

I always make my own characters flawed, but I give them a lot of perks. I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH THEY'RE MY CHILDREN!!!
I make my characters have tragic pasts :/ my friends think I have some trauma because they read my ocs
I love making my characters lead normal lives! Cause I finally get to live a normal life through them!
The more I love my characters, the more time they get with the Dagger of Backstabbery (TM). Except Diego/Maria and Andre/Adriana, it's illegal to hurt them.A vast majority of my female characters are just badass af. I don't give them the attention they deserve.

Nope. I don't read a whole lot of that genre, especially NOT the newer stuff. One reason is that (at least for my library anyway) 99.99999ad infinitum% of it (including the new stuff) is also dystopian in outlook and that is a genre I despise.

Not me. I have a BA in Liberal Studies (BAILS) degree....only available at Northern Arizona University (NAU).

I don't have to go downstairs at night. I live on the lower level of a two level apartment building.
