Michele | 6354 comments Almost all the books on this unclaimed author page (Ruby^Scott):
https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

...should actually be connected to this author page (Ruby^^^^Scott):
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Can we merge the unclaimed author profile into the claimed one? Or do we need to manually change the author on all of the approximately eleventy billion editions on the unclaimed page from Ruby^Scott to Ruby^^^^Scott? Or is there a way to change the author on all editions of a book at once?

Thanks!

Miriam | 1831 comments Since one of the profiles belongs to a claimed author, we can't merge the author profiles.

Assuming we're talking 10% or less (basically 2-3 books): I would actually move any books that don't belong to the claimed author off that profile. Then, ask staff to merge the two profiles.

Otherwise, it's manually move the books over to the claimed profile.

Michele | 6354 comments There are relatively few titles but a metric ton of editions -- like, thirty Kindle editions of just one title. So, maybe tomorrow I'll pour a glass of wine and sit down and just mindlessly change author names for about an hour and a half XD

Arenda | 26447 comments Please check twice before moving books. It looks like the 30-editions titles don't belong to the GR-author, see https://www.amazon.com/Ruby-Scott/e/B... and https://rubyscott.com/

Michele | 6354 comments Hm. Those look like a whole bunch of the same books to me. Am I missing something?
