Backstory: His parents died in a car crash and he had to give his little brother to their Aunt and Uncle and he has been on his own ever since but surviving and he is hoping to win the Hunger Games this year.

Purpose: He wants to win the Hunger Games no matter what.

Backstory: His older brother was chosen as a tribute for The Hunger Games. August was heartbroken, because his older brother was his best and closest friend. After his older brother was reaped, August barely ate or slept at all. He started showing his anger towards the Capitol by doing things like stealing, etc. Once he got news that his brother had been killed, he disappeared into the woods and hadn't been seen again.

Purpose: He's the start of a small rebellion (nothing like district thirteen, but still ). He wants to put an end to The Hunger Games, and revenge of the Capitol.
