This is the Pre-Read thread for the June 2022 Modern/Popular selection. This month we will be reading It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover.

Who's planning to join in on this read? Why did you choose this book to read? Any expectations?

I am in on this one too! It is on my TBR and I have read a couple of her books and enjoyed them.

I'm conflicted on whether I should try to read this or not. I enjoyed Verity by the same author but from what I've seen that was an outlier, and her other books tend to be more traditional romances, which is not really my cup of tea... however, the reviews make me want to see what all the fuss is about for myself, especially with a sequel (or prequel) coming out later this year. I guess I'll see how I feel about it come June.

You are right. Apart from Verity her works are traditional romances. I have read four of her books and I didn't like much of that "traditional romance" but It Ends With Us is worth it. Trust me, it's amazing.

I got this book for my birthday and I've heard soo many good things about it, so I'm definitely joining! Hopefully it'll live up to the hype

I just joined the group after getting bored with the monthly reads in another group for several months. I'm excited about several upcoming reads in this group!

I've read the other two June books, so, hey, why not: let's try a romance (as a "dude" I've never tried one, haha). I'm a few chapters in and it's getting good :)

I am reading this book as it is elected in this book group and I saw many people rating it quite high and liking it. Also a friend highly recommended it so I am reading this. if anyone wants to buddy read I am open to it

My book finally arrived. I am not going to be able to finish it before month end but I am excited nonetheless. This will be my first book for the group this year. Glad to be getting back to reading. I choose this book cause I love hoover and am expecting good things.

its apparently the last day of June and I have gotten my hands on the book finally after looking for it the whole day yesterday. I have a copy now. I have heard so many good things about this one, booktokers, bookstagrammers and basically everyone speaks so highly of it. Guess I will have to see for myself.
