Mine is ‘to all the boys I’ve loved before & the summer I turned pretty’ & wattpad books is what really pushed me over the line to be obsessed with books in general lol
A wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’engle. Was the first I remember being obsessed with reading a series. But before that the first chapter book I remember reading was this book about an owl and a duck I can’t remember the nave of it for the life of me. But I can still smell the pages. It was old when I read it. I don’t ever remember a time in my life without books actually. Lol.
i'd say a series of unfortunate events got me when i was young but my love for reading was reintroduced when i was 14 and i read the mortal instruments
Mine had to be some paranormal mystery from the library at school. I wish so badly I could remember more books from my childhood !! I also remember LOVING the Uglies series when I was younger
I have memories of my stepdad reading Charlie and the chocolate factory to me at bed time when I was little! I loved a lot of the Jaqueline Wilson books as a kid as well (which I now realise are very problematic, but at the time thought they were great 😅)
I was very young when i started reading, I think it was something like Atticus claw if I remember correctly. I adored that series...Also, I hoarded any ANY of the vampire themed books I could find in the library and burn through them life a wild forest fire when i was in my early early teens (you could say young me was a sucker for a good vampire story, haha!). That obsession really threw me into the world of fantasy and Ive been a fan ever since :DD
My first book that got me into reading were The little Princess and Dork diaries
It all started there :)
one of the earliest books I remember reading repeatedly was Island of the Blue Dolphins. I also loved Ella Enchanted.
it was in mid 2019, the deal by elle kennedy - i started exploring more genres and have loved books since !
