I wasn't surprised Jones stole the money. I figured he would take it, but his conscience would bother him and he'd return it. He just ended up trying to return it faster when he learned that the bad guys were in the village looking for the money.I don't know if Molly would have revealed Jones' identity if he hadn't taken the money. She was desperate to save Billy. Still not sure what else she could do unless she just blamed it on "Jones" instead of giving his true identity.
Yes, Jones redeemed himself by bringing the money back and eventually attempting to rescue Molly and company.
Jones has a pretty go debate with himself before he took the money. Molly was in his head the whole time, but his self-interest won that one. I don't think she should have given up Jones' true identity. But, without the money she had very little to bargain with to save Billy. Jones redeemed himself when he returned the money.

Jones came back and stole the money that Ken had hidden. Molly gave up his true identity to save Billy Bolton. Were you surprised he stole the money or did you see that coming? Would Molly have revealed his identity if he hadn’t? Your thoughts about the situation? Did he redeem himself?
