She's so into her own thing that she doesn't notice anything. Quinn was right in saying that she's not very bright. Illcina is so powerful! I was not expecting her to react that way. The eyes, legs, arms. It was like a horror show. It's good that Eve is helping Aia with bending. Illcina and Aia are cousins? Oh, that's unfortunate. Aia's mind is on a whole new level. Illcina is evil, not misunderstood. She's planning to basically coming genocide and Aia wants to save her? This girl is going to need someone to hold her hand since she clearly is headed down a dangerous path if she continues to think/act this way. (hide spoiler)]

So when he snapped it open and she realized what it was, to her the bundle transformed into a cloak. Benders can only manipulate the world around them, they can't create things. Chapters 44-Epilogue

(view spoiler)[Aia fighting the draining proved how much she'd changed from the beginning of the book. In the beginning she would have welcome those Leeches and now she tried to fight them off. As bad as the things Illcina did was, she was good for Aia. She helped Aia see her true potential. I can't believe the Emperor rejected Cole. Just to save face. In the end Illcina changed but it was too late. So many sacrifices had been made. (hide spoiler)]

I loved it. 4/5 stars. Can't wait for the next book.
