[Answered] Merging verified author with unverified duplicate author

I tried to merge

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

with

https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

but predictably got the "Sorry, this author is on Goodreads and is responsible for editing their own data" prompt.

Can a Superlibrarian conduct this merge or should the author be asked for it?

Only staff can merge author accounts when one is claimed.
