G Allen Matthews | 3 comments I am working with a publisher for my YA book. I need three comparatives. I have a problem.

I live in the Philippines. Humidity, pests, and the annual parade of typhoons mean very few here own books. I'll bet you're thinking I should buy eBooks, instead. Well, that's the other problem. We barely feed the family because of lost work due to the current world paranoia.

So... I'm submitting a YA using multiple POV. It is a coming-of-age action rom-com adventure with some light fantasy (think non-magical animagus), a mystery, and a bit of monster horror (but it is not a thriller or horror story). The MCs are all 13-14, moving from 8th grade up to high school. While it can stand alone, it is part of a 4 part series, so some series comparatives need to be on the first book, I think.

My inspiration for the multi POV was the Riordan Heroes series and that is my 1st comparative. But it's several years old now and I need newer comparatives.

If you can help me with information on some newer comparatives, please. I need more than the title. Here is what the publisher is requesting:

• A list of comparable or competing titles (including title, author, ISBN, release date/year and price point) and how your book is similar and different.

I've read a few adult fiction books and do tons of academic research, but it's been five years since I last read a good YA...any YA, and those were the Magnus Chase/Riordan books.

Thanks all!
