This is my first time doing Tower Teams so I’m a little scared but I’m excited to do the challenge with everyone! My favorite genres are contemporary and fantasy. I mostly read within the YA age group but I like reading in the other age groups as well.
Right now I’m currently reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong and I’m about to start my reread of Zodiac by Romina Russell (I haven’t read the book series since 2016). I’m going to check out the spreadsheet and get myself situated. Thank you for the welcome!

But it's nearly the weekend and I have this weekend off. So yay for reading time. Hoping to get through a bunch of books.

Don’t be scared, Tower Teams can seem overwhelming but it’s really a lot of fun! Don’t hesitate to ask if you’re confused about anything or have questions, we’re happy to have you!!

That's an achievement. I have

I'm doing the audiobook Sleeping Beauties. I eeally wanted to do It but it wasn't available. It feels like I'm barely making any progress but I am very slowly.
Btw, I understand that the books tbr for each team is the sum total of each team members monthly read books. But with starting halfway through May, did the mods half the monthly total and use that?

The total is over the whole challenge, so we don't have to worry about month to month. There's actually a small buffer as well. As a team we signed up for 594 books, and the cap is set at 630.

Statue Update
As a team so far we've:
-read 36 books with 15771 pages
-earned 1570 page points, 60 BOM points, and 180 mini points
-completed 36 mini tasks, claimed 26 more, and have 22 open tasks
-and are currently in 5th place overall
Way to go everyone! Great start!

A celebration in the book

Yes, if you answer 3 sets of questions, we'll get an extra 20 points.

From a quick flip through my next read has a wedding in the first few pages which I imagine qualifies as a celebration although in this case the bride's mother doesn't seem happy about it.

BUT... in the meantime we have the May Mini to wrap up, and we only have 15 books unclaimed! The May Mini Summary Post is updated, but in short we need: A(1), C(2), E(1), H(1), I(2), L(2), O(1), R(2), T(2) and a book with a celebration in it (which Elizabeth may have!). As you are filling out the spreadsheet, please include ANY letters that work for your book so the captains can move things around if we need to.
Also - if you want to put a book in the spreadsheet but don't think you'll finish it for the mini... please just leave Column H blank so we don't plan a place for it in the mini challenge.
For those asking how we are doing towards our 630 book target, the spreadsheet auto-magic says that we are 71% of where we should be this many days into the challenge (we've completed 39 books and the math says we should be at about 55). So not bad, but no reason for anyone to worry about needing to slow down!

I changed that book in the spreadsheet to cover the celebration task - I hope between the wedding and the funeral some characters have reason to celebrate :)

No extra points for these. Just a chance to read and discuss the books with others while reading at your own pace.

Oh that sucks, I just finished reading Empire of the Vampire literally right before the challenge started! I might join in for Priory of the Orange Tree though, it's been on my shelf for a while.

That's fine. Added to spreadsheet.

Yes, it's a maze. If you've been playing the individual maze, it will be the same setup just with a bigger maze. Cat has set up a thread for discussing strategy and tasks in the Aegean group.

Hm, I'm tempted for The Priory of the Orange Tree, but I'll go very slow, because I've got exams and work is hectic.

So, about this maze: is it with a different password or do we use the same as we got for the other maze? And will the tasks be posted?
