April 2015 Group Read Theme Nominations

It's time to suggest a theme for our April group read!

The theme should fit into the overall Action/Adventure genre, in a big or small way.

Please feel free to give an explanation of what you are suggesting.

**However, we are not looking for book title suggestions at this time.

The poll will go up on February 27th.

My suggestion is uniquely skilled lead. In other words, the main character has some specific and distinctive skill that comes in handy in the book.

my suggestion is "lone gun lead character". someone who doesn't necessarily work well with a group

How about "good-guys" (the term being generic for both male and female protagonists). We've read a lot of dark and anti-hero type fiction. As a matter of fact that's so prevalent now i can only think of one off the top of my head.

We could use any genre, military action, science fiction action, fantasy action, thriller action etc. The common denominator would be a straight up hero/heroine who acts out of conscience, honor or some positive source. he/she may struggle or whatever but is in the end an actual "good-guy".

I bet they're hard to find.

Mike, I like your idea of a "good-guy" theme. With spring around the corner and it being a very very long winter - a positive read sounds about right.
