Nick Zabrowski is the primary (and only) suspect in Tessa’s murder. Were you at least slightly persuaded when you learned he was her boyfriend but never disclosed as much to Morgan? Was there anything in that prologue that eliminated or pointed to him?

The fact that he is a chess player would point to him as a suspect because of his ability to strategize, but the whole puking over blood thing kind of eliminates him.

I never really felt like he was the killer. I agree the puking at the sight of blood is a sort of a big problem for him to be the killer.

I never really considered him because of the good opinion of Morgan's family. It's not that sort of book where the heroine would have been fooled. If it was a Karin Slaughter, yes but not this author.
