West Ravenel decides to accompany Devon to Eversby Priory and seems to thrive as he tackles the estate report. Why the remarkable change?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Having a purpose and feeling needed can do wonders for a dissolute rake.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I loved this part of the story. As Anita said, West had something to do and was ready to dive in and help his brother.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree with both of you. West found a purpose. He could relate to the farmers' struggles their frustrations and wanted to help them. Also, he didn't want his brother to fail.

West had only lived in London and that environment obviously didn’t suit him. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a vision or means to do anything other than party. He was a smart guy forced to fit into a rather rudderless lifestyle.

When he went to Eversby Prior, West knew he had the skills to figure out the issues and pursue solutions. Everything fit him like a glove. I loved what happened to him as he found a purpose.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I really loved how West found something that really interested him. I agree with all of you. This was a great part of the story.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 109 comments I agree with everything already said. West needed something to do. Something to pull him out of the rut his life has been in. His change was remarkable and I really enjoyed witnessing it.
