So here's what I have to offer. I have spent most of my career writing technical reports, policy and procedure documents for multi-billion dollar corporations. Infact, about 80% of the U.S. healthcare industry is subject to policy and procedure documents I have written and had approved. I have also completed over 600 credit hours of university coursework in Programming, Computer Forensics, Web Design, Network Administration and Business Administration. The most recent career roles I have held have been Interim IT Manager, Helpdesk Coordinator, IT Tech Lead, Assistant Store Manager.
While this focus on the technical side has done a benefit for the career progression I have enjoyed over the past 25 years, due to my autism, I simply am incapable of communicating the same way as most of society. I have had to find ways to adapt in order to fulfill communication requirements at work due to this as well.
So I seek to swap my technical and very detail oriented writing and editing experience for someone who can perform a developmental read (highest priority and/or a beta read (lower priority) of my novel that I'm finishing writing.
I've been writing a novel titled, VY: A Beginning And An End, which I started back in 2018. I am finally in the home stretch being over half-way done and 6 chapters completed in the last 4 months. Currently the novel is about 60k words with about 2k-4k added per chapter. I would really appreciate some feedback on the good, the bad and the ugly of what the general romance/erotica audience thinks.
It is to put it simply, about an engineered virus that is accidentally released and it kills, as designed, only men since it destroys the Y chromosome. The story is focused around the love and acceptance of the main character's original wife accepting the new reality of her husband being forced by the government to marry potentially thousands of women, and being forced to impregnate them repeatedly to repopulate the planet and restore the gene pool.
What I would ask is that you keep an open mind and don't stop after the first few pages or first few chapters. The story develops and evolves in complexity and emotion the further along the narrative you read. I am hoping for feedback that will allow me to address issues with the story that I and the editors over at Literotica and the LushStories moderators may have missed.
I can provide a link to the novel as published on either Literotica or LushStories. However, both of those sites have yet to approve and publish my latest four chapters. So if you are willing, I could provide a Google Drive share link where the file is auto backed up.
