Mark Baker | 8 comments I have an author page under the name Mark Baker, the name I used for my technical books. I have now published a novel under the name G. M. Baker. All of my reading history and groups are under my Mark Baker account. I'm not sure what I should do to add my novels. Should I have a new account, a new author page, or is there a way to add the name G. M. Baker to my existing account and author page?

Scott | 8860 comments If you link to the novel, we can add your name as secondary author, and then it will show on your page.

The link to the novel is https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

Is there something I should be doing to link it, or do I leave that to you.

Thanks

Scott | 8860 comments Ok, it is now linked to your profile.

Thank you. That seems to have set me up with a separate page for each name, which is great. And all the books show up on my Author dashboard.

Two issues, though.

The G.M. Baker page lists a book that is not mine (though its not on my Author Dashboard). It is "Clever comedies for female characters"

Secondly, I don't seem to be able to edit the G. M. Baker page the way I can the Mark Baker page.

Thanks for your help.

Scott | 8860 comments I have moved Clever Comedies to another profile.

Naturally you wouldn't be able to edit the other profile as it is not yours. If you would like to claim it you can, but you'll need to use a different email address than the one you have claimed.

Okay, how do I claim it with a new email address? Does that mean creating a separate account?

Thanks

Scott | 8860 comments Yes, it will be a separate account.

Okay, I created a separate account with a separate email address. It is https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1.... Please attach my novel to that page.

Also, it there a way to draw a connection between the two accounts or to copy or move my reading history and group memberships over from the old account to the new one?

Thanks

Miriam | 1831 comments You'll need to claim the other author account (same way you did the first one).

Only Goodreads staff can merge user and author accounts; GR Librarians are volunteers, not staff

Mark Baker | 8 comments I have tried to claim the author account twice. I answered every question. I connected my account to Facebook. Still, both attempts failed, without any explanation. What is my next step to get the account connected to the book?

Thanks!

Thanks, it all seems to be sorted now.
