I love mm romance that centers around a sport -hockey, football, soccer - it's all good. I don't actually love watching these sports, but apparently I love reading about them. This was definitely a slow burn and I just wanted these two to finally figure it out already. Once MC is at the end of his career, and the other is at the beginning, so there were a few tropes in this one - age gap, grumpy/sunshine, and even a bit of mental health. This is book 5 of a series with 2 more on the way, but so far this is the only MM in the series.

Pretty darn close to 5 stars, so I rounded up.
Loved it! I do like rock star books...most of them are unrealistic fairy tales, and so was this one, that's what makes them fun.
No big angst, or misunderstanding. Just Jeremy, who thought he was strait, slowly falling in love with his new best friend. He didn't just wake up and decide he was gay...but he realized it wasn't some switch that he flipped either.

Brilliant!! Loved this novella telling the story of Riordan and Faulk. Though the story was short it felt longer and the characters were well fleshed out.
Might have to reread Dead Man Walking to see Faulk at the beginning. Love this series.

I had fun.
Thank you everyone for playing.
It was nice knowing everyone on the team and having similar tastes.

For a no stress challenge that's a great result!! Well done team.

I liked not stressing about speed but still keeping the new tasks coming on a regular basis. It was the perfect pace to go along with SH.

Do you see the kitten on the cover? That's how saccharine sweet this book is or as the author himself states tooth rotting. It is a story about finding yourself and the place you fit. It's a story about running from trouble and ending up at a place you find is worth fighting for. A really nice story about to guys who don't really fit with people but they fit perfectly together.
